Finally, a home to come home to on Smith Mountain Lake! This beautiful, contemporary home awaits on a gentle slope down to the lake. Play in the yard all day, or jump off the dock and swim in the refreshing, deep blue-green waters!

Play by day and relax at night by the fireplace. Enjoy a pool table, dart board, and books here in your home away from home. The dock has a built-in complete with bar stools, bluetooth speakers and a full-size fridge - perfect for relaxing on the lake.

The beautiful Great Room includes wood floors, a propane fireplace, and cathedral ceilings - a great gathering space for your entire family. The second kitchen downstairs is good for those who need some extra room or for cooking on different schedules.

This home is a great find for all who want to enjoy Smith Mountain Lake and its many treasures. The owners wish to make your stay here the best you have ever had on Smith Mountain Lake. Note: We start you off with a fresh roll of paper towels and toilet paper each bathroom. Cleaning fee includes sheets and towels. Pet fee is per dog per stay. 2 dogs allowed, no puppies.

Company Fishing Trip
Every year our company takes our top performers on a fishing trip. This year we chose Shangri-La to get some fresh-water fishing in. The house was well stocked, beds comfortable and the house was clean and inviting. Two of us took our boats, so having a boat ramp only minutes away was a bonus. The neighbors were friendly and the Host, Eric, was easy to communicate with and accommodating to our requests. The fishing did not disappoint - one of the guys even caught a citation flat-head catfish! We will definitely return to Shangri-La.

Everything was as listed. Beautiful home and property. Spacious for a large crowd. Some great amenities nearby including a lovely winery. We'd stay at this property again without hesitation.

Nice place, steep walk to the lake
Our stay was very pleasant, the property is maintained well and rather spacious inside. The location is quiet, convenient and has good parking for boats on the dock and cars/trailers by the house. It is about 75 yards down an extremely steep hill to get from the house to the dock and some extras were not in working order, ie: no darts, fishing rods are a mess, kayaks are not good and pool table is uneven. No patio covers anywhere in case of rain. And there is no place to leave trash outside, no outside trash cans.

Little slice of heaven
This was our third stay at this property across three different seasons and we’ve loved each visit! The house itself is clean and cozy, bathrooms and both kitchens are well stocked, and checking in/out is very easy! The dock has a great set up and the bar area saves a lot of back and forth for drinks/snacks throughout the day/night. We got a lot of use out of it over the summer, but also enjoyed it during our fall and winter stays. The neighborhood is well maintained and feels very safe. Overall, we have loved visiting the lake and staying at Shangrila! We are excited to come back again in the summer!

Welcome to Shangrila! My name is Ginny, my husband, Eric and I are excited to host you at Smith Mountain Lake! This house is part of our dream come true and we love sharing the beauty of this lake by hosting you in our home. We live in Northern Virginia and love getting away from the city. The lake is so peaceful and beautiful that it resets the soul, no matter how long the stay.

Darum fiel die Entscheidung auf diese Unterkunft

Being in a cove allows for more relaxation when swimming or floating with the family. We love to Kayak over to the next cove and the dock has a tiki hut bar, "Wet Feet Retreat", that includes a small refrigerator, lights and Bluetooth wireless speakers for playing music. It's great for day and night! There is a pool table, dartboard, cornhole boards and assorted games and puzzles in the basement for your enjoyment or you can sit around the fire pit. We are also very close to Mitchell's Marina for renting boats and/or jetskis. A fireplace in the basement and one on the main floor make this a great fall and winter retreat as well. We look forward to hosting you and would be happy to hear how your visit was and feel free to reach out with any questions or recommendations for things to do!
