> NEIGHBORHOOD DESCRIPTION
The historic Blenman Elm neighborhood was established in 1900 and is said to be the "vanguard" of the ranch-style home in Tucson. Architecturally significant, the neighborhood features 17 styles of homes that were popular between the 1920s and the 1950s, including 21 homes built by Swiss-born Tucson architect Josias Joesler.

It is a diverse neighborhood with pockets of wildlife you might not expect in the city. Historical landmarks dot the Blenman Elm landscape, including the Arizona Inn, which opened in 1930; SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church and School, which opened in 1931; and Blenman Elementary School, which rang its bells for the first time in 1942.

Blenman Elm is the 3rd most walkable neighborhood in Tucson. With a bike score of 95 and a wallk score of 71, it is just a 10-minute walk/2-minute drive to the historic Arizona Inn, a 4-minute drive to University Medical Center, and a 4-minute drive to University of Arizona

Dining ranges from upscale pizzerias, to colorful Mexican cantinas serving homestyle tamales and enchiladas, to sports bars and brewpubs with featuring impressive happy hour specials.

ABOUT TUCSON
------------------------
Guest ranches, horseback rides, and cattle drives recall Old West roots, but you’ll also find yourself smack-dab in a hub of spas, resort hotels, and championship golf courses...not to mention amazing, trend-setting restaurants. Tucson was the first city to earn the designation of a World City of Gastronomy by the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). Plus, with a thriving visual and performing arts scene and respected galleries and museums, Tucson’s vibrant multicultural heritage shines.

Famous for its dramatic beauty, the Sonoran Desert covers this region with spectacular cacti – including the giant saguaro, a symbol of the American Southwest. But don’t be fooled by the term “desert” because mountain ranges in all directions offer scenic drives and even snow skiing. In the winter you can go for a hike in the valley, then drive up to Mt. Lemmon and enjoy the slopes. Tucson’s legendary year-round sunshine and saguaro-and-sunset landscape have romanced visitors for decades. Tucson's coldest month is January when the average temperature overnight is 38.9°F. In June, the warmest month, the average day time temperature rises to 100.2°F.

Great Stay in Historic Tucson
My husband and I stayed at the property for a few days during the Gem and Mineral Show. The place is lovely and spacious, and the onsite parking a real perk. The neighborhood is great and it is an easy walk to the University of Arizona campus. Hosts were very responsive and helpful. It was a nice, peaceful visit. We will stay here again.

Great place, wonderful hosts
I have stayed at quite a number of these guest house accommodations visiting family in Tucson. This place is MUCH more spacious than most, which is hard to tell from the pictures but really the case. Lovely kitchen and hosts had provided really nice coffee and tea fixins. Comfortable bed. Large bathroom. Amazing location. Highly recommended! Also hosts were accommodating to unexpected date changes of stay and that was much appreciated
