Beautiful view - Only minor things
Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Convenient location and amazing view. We visit every other year and have stayed in our share of cabins. This one was one of the nicer ones. Some things to note: hot tub is really loud when staying in the room downstairs, floors were pretty dirty, the hand soap is 2 tiny bars of soap, one of the eyes on the stove wouldn't heat up properly, both toilets seemed to clog easily and one of the plungers was dry rotted, and the dishwasher could probably use replacing as it wouldn't always close.

They give you a trash bag and a toilet paper roll and a travel size bottle of dawn and thats about it. So make sure to buy extra trash bags, toilet paper, dish and dishwasher soap etc. Because they wont bring anything to you. When you ran the bathroom sinks it smelled like the septic tank every time. Air hockey table had 1 puck and it was broken so we couldnt play, almost as if house keeping didnt really clean much if any before we got there. pool table was dirty, hot tub had dirt in it, couldnt find the remote for the tv outside by the hot tub, movie theater tv directions still was for a projector. Everywhere is signs telling you how much you will be charged if anything is not right or missing etc. Light bulbs not working. They charge alot of a week stay and the only thing they did right was when we got there the a/c wasnt working down stairs and they hooked up a temp window unit till the hvac guy could get it fix the next day. tHe views were nice but the balcony looks into the tops of trees and there isnt a balcony on the main floor above the trees link the units on each side of it. Bathrooms only in bedrooms so anytime anyone has to use the batheroom they have to walk through someones bedroom even at night if theres kids sleeping on the pull out bed they have to go through a bedroom. Overall all of us that stayed here would spend our money elsewhere and wont be coming back. I have stayed at other places bigger, cleaner, nicer in many ways and cost less than this place did and they were closer to the main areas.

The hot tub didn’t work at first so they told me to watch a YouTube video to see if I could fix it🤷‍♀️ I requested a maintenance man. Who did come out and fix it. The tv and theater room is not like the description at all. Half a roll of tp in each bathroom and that was it. The views at this location in most of the cabins are always amazing. It could use a few upgrades.

A little disappointed that the owner of this one didn’t decorate for Christmas or add a little tree inside like the other ones we have stayed in previously. But it was still a beautiful cabin!

The resort kept in contact with us throughout our stay which was nice. Cabin was clean and perfect for our family of 5. Game room in the loft was a big hit as well as the big TV downstairs (note there is no longer a projector and screen). Not much for drawer space in either bedroom for clothing and would be nice to have separate pool towels but those are my only complaints. I wouldn’t hesitate to book this cabin again!

However, the photos don’t do this cabin justice! Aside from the beautiful views, the photos match the cabin exactly. The beds were very comfortable and the cabin was very clean. I didn’t love that the whirlpool tub room was downstairs but, if that’s the only downside, it was still a huge win. We will definitely be back and pick this cabin again!

Disappointed returning customer
Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stay on the Legacy Mountain Resort of Elk Springs 1-2 times per year. This was our 5th visit and I likely will not be booking again after this experience. When we arrived 45 minutes after being told our cabin was ready, our cabin was 84 degrees, it wreaked of cigarettes/smoking of some kind, the main floor bedroom was locked, and there was green leafy substance in multiple places on the bottom floor kind bed. No one would answer the phone so I had to have a strenuous text conversation to see if we would even be helped. They wouldn't place us in a different cabin until they had a chance to fix the issues even though one was available per their website just a few doors down. We didn't have AC until close to 10pm at night and no one would help me with the smoke smell (maintenance sprayed some glad over it). We finally decided to unpack around 10:30pm as no one was going to help. I asked if the "ozone" machine could be brought the next day but heard nothing until I had to ask again. The cleaning team is obviously at fault for not noting these things but I would have been much happier if someone was apologetic and followed up with me instead of me continuing to have to ask for help for multiple days in a row (again via text). The mountain is gorgeous and I am so sad but for as much money as staying for 1 week was, I was incredibly disappointed in the service.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Cabin was not clean floors needed mopped. Hot tub water was disgusting had a very bad smell . The dryer filter was broken and ripped our clothes. There was hair in the master bathroom I spoke with the management team and all they said was sometimes things get missed. All she said about the dryer was she would send someone after we checked out. One day they were drilling a water line in the cabin.

Best Vacation Ever!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Working with Elk Springs has been so easy from the initial interaction, all the way to check out. The cabin was beautiful, but more importantly it was CLEAN! With a three year old, I was constantly looking under furniture and in couch cushions for toys and there wasn't a speck of dirt, dust, or crumbs anywhere. I was so pleased with everything and will be staying with Elk Springs for all my future mountain trips.
