Our home, Molino di Bordone is an elegant 17th century stone farmhouse Villa with self-catering apartments to rent; ideally located for exploring Tuscany and Umbria. Authentically restored, furnished with country charm and decorated with the utmost attention to detail. We completely restored it from a ruin that had been empty for over 30 years. We adore the peacefulness and the 360-degree views of the surrounding vineyards and olive groves and are often to be found at home to welcome you.

We are located literally at the meeting point of two beautiful Italian regions -Tuscany and Umbria.

Welcome to Tuscany and our 17c farmhouse Molino di Bordone.

The setting is the Val di Chiana and in the distance just 4 miles away you can see the fortress of the Etruscan city of Cortona with its fascinating historic center full of street cafés, fine restaurants, art galleries, museums and a theatre.

The house is over 350 years old and was a large farmhouse with 8 acres of land and outbuildings. In the past several farming families would have shared the property and farmed the surrounding fields. Today it is completely restored as our family holiday home with self-catering apartments which guests can rent and come to enjoy a holiday in the delightful Tuscan countryside all around. Providing good service and a friendly style of hospitality is our way of life at IL Molino di Bordone. We offer our guests beautifully furnished apartments and have spared no expense to provide you with an almost luxurious stay. Our welcome booklet contains a wealth of information about the house, the area and the great activities available in the area.
TRANSPORT
You'll need a car. Whilst we are close to towns we are in a rural location. There is no public transport here but in nearby Camucia or Terontola there is a fantastic rail network linking you with Rome or Florence and the whole of Italy.

THE ACCOMMODATIONS AND OUTDOOR AREAS
Each apartment has its own private entrance and garden/terrace area with seating. You have free access to the swimming pool and play areas, the extensive gardens and parking areas - shared with the other guests.
OUTDOORS / ENTERTAINMENT
Complete safety in the 10-acre garden, completely secluded. Entertainments for all ages: croquet, badminton, trampoline, swings & climbing frame, bicycles.
POOL
Outdoor pool 6m x 12m open May-Sept, unheated, with sunbeds and a large covered shady relaxation area.
VEGETABLE GARDEN
Guests are welcome to help themselves to vegetables from Pino's kitchen garden, abundances of sage, thyme and rosemary, and fruit from the trees beyond the lavender bushes (apples, cherries, apricots, plums).
OTHER INFO
Friendly dogs and cats live on the property (please don’t feed or bring them inside).
