✱✱This is a Duplex, there is another home on the property with its own entrance. The homes are attached under the same roof but with separate entrances. This property can be rented separately or together with the other unit.

✱✱Please note there is a noise ordinance from 10pm -8AM which means no noise of any kind that can be heard by the neighbors including talking and music… this can be found in the house rules and is strictly enforced thank you!

✱✱No parties of any kind permitted at any time. Only guests on reservation are permitted on the property at anytime during your stay

✱✱Please know that security cameras are in the outside of the unit for the safety of all guests staying in the property; tampering, covering or moving them without the consent of the host will be subject to a $100 fine, thanks for helping us taking care of our property.

✱✱We require all guests under the reservation to provide a government-issued ID to the host prior to the check-in time, as well as sign a rental agreement which you can see under house rules.
✱✱Entry instructions will not be sent out until the Govt issued ID is received.

✱✱Guests staying 2 weeks or more will have an additional cleaning added to reservation payable by the guest.

Good, but not great
Let me start off by saying the place was clean, quiet, and as pictured. Initially, the host was responsive. There was a back-and-forth regarding a service dog and after we had checked in noticed a few small issues (a towel bar that looked ready to fall off the wall, a loose toilet seat, and the coffee maker that seemed clogged) that were quickly addressed and responded to. A little later in our stay, we found out the hard way that the oven's thermometer or heating element wasn't working properly and we ended up having to throw away the items we were attempting to cook. The kitchen was fairly well stocked, but there were no pans for use in the oven. We made the host aware of the oven issue, but never received a response. While we felt the place was clean and good value, it just didn't feel attended to. There were many scuff marks on most of the walls, the floor lamp by the door or the light bulb was malfunctioning, and there was evidence of a full-length mirror that use to be mounted to the wall but just the brackets remained. A few small tweaks and I would be good to stay here again. The location was convenient for me, but it wasn't the Design District, as indicated, but Upper Buena Vista. No problem for me, just thought it was worth mentioning.

Beautifully renovated but a bit surprising
We couldn't tell until we arrived, but the property is actually a duplex with two separate rentals attached, and each has a gate opener, parking spot, and small set of outdoor furniture. The check-in experience was straightforward, property was clean, but the front door was very difficult to properly close and lock. From the inside it looks like the door was pried open at one point. The inside of the house is nice, good kitchen area, comfy couch and beds, but the bathroom was a little off. The bathroom door stuck open the first day by rubbing on the floor, and instead of trying to force it closed we left it. We emailed the owner but heard no response. The shower didn't drain very well, either, and there was no shower door just an opening into the bathroom that we had to put towels down in. One night we got locked out of the property, the keypad was no longer working with our code, but I was able to reach someone and they reset it remotely so we could get access again. A scary moment, but a quick resolution. Overall I'd say it's a nice place to stay, although one of our Uber drivers warned us not to walk around that neighborhood. We didn't see any particular issues but it all depends on your comfort level.

Upon arrival, we check in with our guests confirming the home is as it should be and if there are any issues. If there is, one of our team members will be in contact immediately to resolve the problem. No problem is too big or too small we are on it!

Our cleaning crews make sure the homes are sparkling clean and fully stocked.

The Upper Eastside (alternatively called East Side and commonly referred to as Northeast Miami[1]) is a neighborhood in Miami, Florida, United States. It is north of Edgewater, east of Little Haiti, south of the village of Miami Shores, and sits on Biscayne Bay. In geographical order from south to north and east to west, it contains the subdivisions of Magnolia Park, Bay Point, Morningside, Bayside, Belle Meade, Shorecrest, and Palm Grove. The MiMo Historic District runs along Biscayne Boulevard, and includes a large number of MiMo hotels from the 1950s and 1960s, that have been preserved, and have recently begun to be renovated, and turned into stores, restaurants and boutique hotels.
