Welcome to this loved family beach house, that celebrates the simple things in life. A place to connect with each other on comfy couches in the lounge room by the woodfire, or chill out and play board games, surf the net, or watch movies after dark (Smart TV - log in with your own Netflix/streaming account details). A place where the ocean is so close by that you can smell it, you can have multiple swims per day, or pop out for a clifftop walk to world renowned Bells Beach every day.
Offering up to 5 guests a place to holiday together, upon entry you will be greeted by an open plan living and dining area that’s flooded with natural light under the vaulted ceiling. Beautifully decorated with effortless coastal chic furnishings, the timber lined wall creates a soothing backdrop to the stunning Coonara fire. A reverse cycle split system (heating/cooling), plus a ceiling fan, add to the comforts of this home.
The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need in a home away from home, including a Nespresso coffee machine, and the Scandi dining table seats 6, with sliding doors opening onto the outdoor decked entertaining area. with a dining setting, Weber BBQ, shady gum tree and a hot/cold outdoor shower... this is a place to chill out and relax. ** Pet friendly by request at the time of booking for 1 well-behaved dog only (dog to be outdoors only, BYO bowl/bed, and please don't leave your pet at home alone when you go out as barking will disturb our neighbours. $50 extra pet fee will be added to your reservation).
Park your car and walk everywhere; head to Jan Juc shops for a coffee, meals or shopping, or the RACV Resort for dining, golf and spa facilities. In summer, you can walk to the Nightjar Markets for food, entertainment and market stalls every Thursday night in January.
The home comprises 2 lovely north-facing bedrooms with portable fans, heaters and built-in robes, roller blinds and block out drapes. The master has a lovely Queen bed, while the 2nd bedroom has modern bunks with a double base and single top.
All rooms are beautifully appointed with luxury hotel quality sheets and bath towels (BYO beach towels), making your stay as pleasurable as possible.

The renovated central bathroom has a shower, vanity and a toilet. Another toilet is located next to the laundry, equipped with a washing machine.

Beaches – Access to our beautiful local Jan Juc beach is just 400m away. It is patrolled by surf lifesavers in the summer months. Torquay Beach is located to the east, and also offers family friendly swimming, surfing and walking. Explore the entire coast towards Bells Beach and beyond for reef breaks to suit experienced surfers.
Spring Creek caters to family fishing, SUPing, kayaking.
There are plenty of cafes and restaurants locally, with many more restaurants, wineries and breweries around the region.
Go shopping at Torquay’s Surf City Plaza, and hit the outlet stores in Baines Crescent.
Visit Surfworld Museum to learn about the history of surfing and the birthplace of the surf industry in Torquay.
The Great Ocean Road Chocolaterie is 15mins away, and will satisfy the sweet tooths in the family ;)
Adventure Park is also a great day out with the kids – approx. 45mins drive away.
Getting Around:
Our beach house is only 350m to the Bird Rock Lookout and onward to Jan Juc Surf Beach. Easy 2minute walk to Jan Juc Village shops, cafes, pub, fish and chips shop and general store. Easy walking/riding distance to several parks. On and off-street parking available.
Buses to and from Torquay and Geelong (Number 50 or 51). Closest train station 15km away (Waurn Ponds station) for V/Line train Geelong- Melbourne.
Jan Juc is 1 hour 15 mins by car from Melbourne.
