We have children ranging in age from 1-15. Adults from 25-65. I will start with the positives - the house is huge, close to Niagara Falls. We had plenty of room for us and our children. Now onto the bad - the property owner was not honest with us about the condition of the home until check in day. This is a new build that is not finished. There were exposed wires, no deck off the back door (a large drop to the ground), no lock on the door coming off the upstairs balcony (anyone could enter or exit), the basement wasn’t finished (exposed construction zone), and the entire neighborhood was under construction. There was no yard at this house, just mud, making everything dusty and dirty. It was full of trash and large construction equipment. We awoke at 6am every morning to loud construction noises. The neighborhood was not safe for our young children to be outside in. Some of the exposed wires in the home were low enough for our toddlers to reach, and they did. It was a MASSIVE hazard. My husband works in construction and we built our home. Several of the unfinished part of this property were not up to code where we are from (Michigan, USA) and people would not be allowed to live in the home in this condition. This house is listed prematurely, and I’m sure soon it will be a nice area. The house is brand new and huge so it’ll be great for large parties in the future. This environment was unsafe for children. The listing does not reflect the state of the home or neihborhood.
