Luxury Beach House, perfect escape, South Devon

A newly built detached property in an amazing location overlooking the beach at Hallsands. With views out to sea from all rooms, this family house offers spacious accommodation for up to 8 people, with the added advantage of a bedroom on the ground floor (which may be suitable for those with limited mobility), and has parking for several cars.

Through entrance gate and from parking area.
Through Front door and porch to Sitting Room: TV,DVD, lovely views, sliding doors out to garden. Kitchen: fully fitted with double oven, electric hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, sliding doors out to garden, dining area with lovely views over beach. Utility Room: washing machine, tumble dryer, sink, door to rear and parking area.
From Sitting Room door to Bedroom 1: king size bed (5’), lovely view across the beach and out to sea. Bathroom: fully tiled, bath with shower over, basin, WC.
From Sitting Room, stairs to First floor and mezzanine area.
Bedroom 2: twin beds (3’), this bed can be arranged as a double bed by arrangement and has 2 x pull out beds under thus ability to sleep 2 adults or 4 children in this room. lovely sea views, ensuite Shower Room: shower cubicle, basin, WC. Bedroom 3: kingsize bed (5), lovely sea views, sliding doors to terrace with outdoor furniture, ensuite Shower Room: fully tiled, shower cubicle, basin, WC.
Please note that the staircase from the mezzanine area up to the top floor, for safety reasons, is not to be accessed by guests.
Outside: terrace and lawned areas with outdoor furniture and parking for several cars.
Pets: No pets permitted
Please note the property sleeps a maximum of 6 adults.
The road to the property is narrow. The owners have a large vehicle however if you are not used to driving on narrow roads this property might not be suitable for you.

Relaxing, scenic, peaceful
A great location, literally on the beach. See the occasional seals, swimmers, walkers, dogs, photographers and fishers all enjoying this tranquility. House is contemporary, minimal, appealing and comfortable with wonderful views of the sea.

Wake Up To The Sun Rising Over The English Channel
Hallsands is off the beaten track and therefore very quiet and has no facilities. This is a modern comfortable property sited as close to the beach, shingle, as you can get. You can swim from the beach, there are regulars, but you need to be competent and children will need constant supervision. Good base to just relax, listen to the waves and watch the local fishermen return with their catch. The Coastal path couldn't be closer and attracts a large number of walkers but they don't intrude. Follow the path west to the spectacular Start Point or east to Beesands where there is a pub and exceptional seafood shack. Be aware that Devon lanes can be a bit of a maze and that satnav directions are not necessarily the best route anywhere. You soon learn that to head for nearby Stokenham is the best way to get anywhere. We have a large car and access was not a problem though you do need to be able to reverse! There is good parking at the property. Shops are not on the doorstep so you need to plan ahead. Kingsbridge has supermarkets and good local bakers etc. Aune farm shop has excellent meats and Herons Reach Cider is very good, both have cafes. The area is lovely and there are some great places to visit and explore. Dartmoor, Dartmouth, Brixham, Totness, Plymouth, Kingsbridge, heritage railways, National Trust properties are all easily reached. All in all we had a great 2 week holiday at The Beach House.

Lovely house in a lovely location
Lovely location - open the gate, cross the lane (width of a car, like many Devon lanes) and you are on the beach. Even on sunny days there were not many people around and often it was deserted with seals popping their heads up just out to sea. The house itself is stylish, spacious and comfortable, with views of the sea from most windows. A “book of works” would have been helpful but we figured everything out in the end. Also, the downstairs bath/shower would benefit from grab handles in light of the suggestion that it may be suitable for those with limited mobility. Right on the doorstep, the South Coast path leads to either Start Point lighthouse or Beesands with its famous fish and chips (and I suspect you could walk there and back quicker than driving). This was a great place to relax and unwind.

Wonderful beach house property
We stayed for a week and had a superb time. Views of the beach, sea and countryside throughout the property. Was thoroughly relaxing. Would recommend a shopping delivery on arrival to save you time travelling to the nearest shop.

Wonderful house very close to the beach
We loved our stay here. The house is just feet away from the beach. It was fantastic to be so close. Everything in the house was clean & the facilities were just what we needed. The roads to the house are very narrow so I would not have wanted to drive a big car down them particularly at night. Instructions of how to work things in the house would have been useful but we managed to work everything out. We liked feeling away from it all. We would love to stay here again one day. Thank you.
