Βρίσκεται στην κομητεία λίμνη, (καλή περιοχή αλιείας) μια ώρα από το Δουβλίνο, αυτό είναι το ιδανικό σημείο για να χαλαρώσετε ή να χρησιμοποιήσετε ως βάση για να ταξιδέψετε από. Το γκολφ είναι μεγάλο, με 5 γήπεδα γκολφ σε απόσταση μισής ώρας. Το σπίτι, μια φορά έναν αχυρώνα, βρίσκεται στο πίσω μέρος ενός Παλαιού Παγκόσμιου Pub, σε ένα ήσυχο χωριό. Το εστιατόριό μας είναι ανοιχτό Τετ-Σάβ 12. 30 -8. 30μμ και Κυριακή, 1-8μμ. Το σπίτι είναι διακοσμημένο αρκετά μοντέρνα και θα κάνουμε το καλύτερό μας για να σας βοηθήσουμε να απολαύσετε τις διακοπές σας.
Μόλις παραλάβουμε το βραβείο Bridgestone 'Best in Ireland 2017', είμαστε ευχαριστημένοι με αυτό.

Pat and Unawere both so nice and welcoming, and Poppy was just a joy! Also Una's cheese cake was to die for! Thanks for taking us to the bog. Your location near the middle of Ireland was perfect for our trip. Molly wants to live here now. I left my hammock hanging in the trees, You might want to take it down in the winter, but it's a perfect place. I also left the sleeping bag in case other guests want to camp in the hedge. Anyway thanks for that great stay, we love Ireland!

Exactly what you would want if you had a cottage in Ireland

It’s perfectly located for day trips, right next to an amazing pub with great food and good beer. The owners are friendly, helpful and informative. It has all the amenities that you need for an extended stay. The WiFi is great, it has a nice kitchen, a good sized comfortable bed, wading machine, access to a dryer. It was a great to relax between day trips and we had a fabulous vacation. We would definitely visit Una and Pat again!

Great Stay

Loved our stay here, wonderful little town! Would definitely stay again. The home was very comfortable and the owner Una was very kind and helpful. Restaurant next door also run by Una is an added bonus and very good. Recommend this place to anyone that is looking for a quiet peaceful place to stay with access to many attraction within an hour or so driving distance.

Cosy cottage an hour from Dublin

We had a lovely stay at Una’s property. We were two sisters on holiday with our mother from Canada, who traces her ancestry back to multiple location in Ireland, so Una’s rental was a perfect choice as it wa more central, yet still close to Dublin, giving us the best of both worlds. Una was a wonderful host who immediately made us feel at home. The house had many amenities and clearly was prepared with thought and care, and we loved visiting the Weir’s restaurant next door, and particularly appreciated that they had vegan options! We loved our stay and would definitely recommend it.

Starting our Ireland adventure

Pat and Una Weir were attentive and gracious hosts. We arrived around 18:00(6:00 pm) after exploring the ancient New Grange/ Boyne Valley area. Even though Una was very busy welcoming diners she showed us the apartment straight away and explained how everything works. We had not made reservations for the evening meal and they were having to turn away customers Pat brought in another table and chairs. Home from home - 10 star!

The most wonderful stay - the property was absolutely spotlessly clean, lovely comfy bed, extremely well equipped and fantastic bits (tea,coffee etc) to get you started. Quiet friendly village with fantastic local shop and The Weir is fantastic for a drink and food. Pat and Una are both fantastic hosts, the best property we have ever stayed in. Best bolthole

We loved staying here! Not fancy but has everything you need. Best part about it is Pat and Una Weir- great hosts, incredible food in the pub and the best bunch of “regulars” who hold court in the bar. Great location to go and visit Dublin- close without being in the crazy! We hope to visit again someday!

City access, at a country pace

We stayed in Multyfarnham for easy access to Dublin, and found it to be just that. Close enough to be convenient, but far enough out to be a quiet little village, which is much more our speed. Dinner at Weirs was SO GOOD, and it was nice to have it right there. All the staff was very welcoming and helpful, we could feel that they were truly happy to host and take care of all their guests. The house is so roomy and was a great place to land after a day in the city.

A Perfect Location, A Perfect Stay!

We had a wonderful time staying at the Weir's property. It is a perfect amount of space, and a lovely place to come home to at the end of the day. We also ate at the owner's restaurant, and the food was amazing! Note: the restaurant and pub are closed (at least currently) Mon-Wed.

june stay at Weirs

Denis and I had a wonderful time at the Weirs. They were very welcoming, helpful and made us feel like we never wanted to leave. The accomodations were very good, the location perfect for touring around and the village was ideal for a visit to Ireland. We loved being able to get to know some of the locals and enjoyed listening to the impromptu singing in the Pub. The food in the restaurant was top of the line. I would recommend them to everyone.

Wonderful

We contacted Una and let her know we were going to be in town earlier and asked for things to do to fill our time until we arrived and she instantly offered us to check in early. Una and Pat were so friendly. They visited with us and that aspect of getting to know each other was wonderful. We used this home as home base to go to The cliffs of Moher and Kilkenny Castle. Ran into Mulingar to grab lunch and shop, which was only 15 minutes away. Mulingar had a great Pub, Danny Byrnes, I would highly suggest going if possible. Una and Pat’s pub was through the roof, the best food, company, service, atmosphere and wood stove! Una brought us brown bread and fresh butter at the home. Pat suggested TullyNally castle and it is a must! It’s nearby and is still occupied but an older man, amazing. I truly could not ask for better hosts.Thanks Una & Pat. Jesus bless you

Owners Una and Patrick "Pat" Weir are the warmest and friendliest hosts we've ever encountered. We arrived from a late flight at 9:00 o'clock and were welcomed immediately by Una as we parked our car in front of Weirs Bar & Restaurant. Even though the kitchen had closed, she handed us menus and made us comfortable while a lovely meal was prepared for us. She then showed us our comfortable accommodations and we quickly felt at home. It was a wonderful week for us as we enjoyed several tours that the Weirs suggested. We’ve just left to visit another part of Ireland and we miss their friendly smiles already!

Surpising Gem

We stayed in 6 different VRBO rentals all over Ireland this past month. Of them all, this was the best of all. It was very clean, had an attentive host (managing the lovely restaraunt in front), it was quiet and secluded, the grounds were beautiful...and best of all, the Multifarnham area was astounding. I took a short walk and found the Abbey in town that included a botanical garden with cafe (and tea houses scattered around the grounds), and an amazing park and walking paths around the Abbey. We went to Trim and th Belvedere mansion grounds south of Mulliganar, and spent an easy day in Dublin, all from this location. An easy last drive to the airport from here.

Irish Hospitality

My husband and I couldn't have been happier with this rental. The property was charming and near the excellent restaurant/pub run by the owners. I could enjoy live pub music one night, and the next, my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the delicious meals served to us. Best of all, Pat and Una went above and beyond the duties of hosts. When my car unexpectedly -- and suddenly -- developed problems with its clutch, Una immediately contacted a friend, a mechanic, who was able to repair the car within a day. Meanwhile, she had lent us her own car to enable us to carry out our plans to visit a dear friend in Sligo. They were so friendly and kind! I hope we can return someday and meet them again.

I am so grateful to have had this experience.

The property is exactly as shown in pictures, only bigger! It is truly spacious, with lots of natural light, wonderful! The little town is quiet, friendly, and full of interesting opportunities. As a central location, I was able to see a great deal of the country and still come home in a day or two (if I wanted to stay over). The hostess was perfect! Una and her family are warm, welcoming, and ready to help in anything needed. I am an "old woman" who was traveling alone, and I could always rely on them to provide information, advice, whatever was necessary. (Even poor Patrick had to lend me his strength on a couple of occasions, interrupting his work to do for me, and he was delightful about it!) I can't say enough good things about this site. I am truly grateful for having been there.

Definition of Midwest Nice

We showed up and immediately were greated with a warmth of family. Within 10 minutes had helped pat fix a swing. Was later given a bike tour of the beautiful town by Pat himself. And that night came back and were offered to sit down and have a drink and talk with Pat as well.The house was perfect and location was just as amazing. With occasional check ups while sitting at the bar the owners made this stay feel like home. The restaurant they own was probably some of the best food we had during our entire week in the country. Cannot thank them enough.

Great stay in Weirs Pub and Restaurant. Apartment accomodation next to the pub is quirky and open planned. Spacious, clean and great facilties. The food in the restaurant is really good and over all VFM. Great spot centrally located for stop off enroute to Cork,Galway or Dublin

The house is in the family since sometime in the 1800's, and until about 60 years ago it was a bakery for the local townspeople. The picture is us, the family with Johnny Depp, he came for lunch in November 2013. This was major excitement for us and the national media also. He said he'll be back because he thoroughly enjoyed his lunch and the relaxed atmosphere. When you sample a little of our life and ways you will understand the attraction to our village and our house.

Originally the house was a bakery but when we came to live here, the house was a store for the beers for the bar. It took three refurbishments to make it what it is today. It is cosy, yet spacious, and decorated in a contemporary style but has some of the features of the old building. The view out the back window is the yard and gardens. There are old stone barns with red painted doors.

Τι κάνει αυτό το κατάλυμα μοναδικό

The house is at the back of the restaurant and bar, so you don't have to leave the property to get to bed after your dinner or spending time with the locals in the bar. The atmosphere in the bar is unpredictable in the sense that it might be quiet with just the turf fire to keep you company or there could be stories from one of the locals to entertain you. On Friday night (most weeks) there is music in the bar, where you are welcome to join in if you wish. It is a mix of sing-a-long, country, blues, pop and some Irish folk songs also.
