Too noisy but lovely unit.
We were booked in to stay for 6 nights but because of the noise of the guests who were staying upstairs we had 2 nights of interupted sleep(between the hours of 11 pm and 2:30 am) We arrived and everything was fine, but there is absolutely no sound barrier between the rental suite upstairs and lower basement suite. The host was great when we reached out to complain but it seems that when she reached out to the guests upstairs they got louder and more inconsiderate. The beds are so comfortable and the place is well appointed, but it is quite dark and there were still burnt out lights(as per an earlier reviewer's comments) the lights throughout the suite are inadequate-new bulbs would help alot. The bathroom was clean, the bedding was good. We reached out to the host and asked for a refund for our 3 nights that were remaining in our booking and even gave a contact number so that they could call us, we did not hear anything and there has been no communication since we advised the host that we were leaving because of the noise. We are looking for a place to rent on a steady basis as we have family in the area and would like to have a steady place to return to, but this is not that space. We would recommend that whomever looks at this place as a potential rental contact the host prior to committing to ask whether or not there will be guests staying in the upstairs you can hear the guests walking, talking or listening to the television. It should actually be rented as a whole house
