Family vacation

Comfortable & Spacious but No Real Ocean View!

We stayed during COVID-19 for 2020 End of Year holidays with my husband and 3 children. The property was sparkling clean and very comfortable and spacious! Nevertheless, I took my own sheets, pillows and towels and sanitize everything possible upon at arrival! We rushed to find the Ocean View that was advertised.. but it was disappointing as the ocean is barely observed all the way not behind the pool, or the other properties behind the pool , but at the very end behind all the vegetation behind all that! (The pool view is the real view you see from the property, which is true to the advertised picture). So in all honesty, there is no real ocean view is this is what you are looking for, as we always do! But since we came to St. Augustine to visit the Historic district, and not a beach vacation.. it was alright. Our main reason for staying here during this time, was to avoid the hotel scene because of COVID. However, for a real beach vacation I will not come back to that property because I will want a real ocean front property after such an expense.I did regret spending extra money for the fact that was advertised as an ocean front, and at the time I booked it although we knew we were going to spend most of time in the historic district, I thought it will be nice to have an ocean front for End of Year experience which we spent at property of course. Finally, on the last day after checking out we went to check out the ocean, which was easily accessible.. and when we saw it.. oh ...the ocean...when we discovered it, we were in awe of God’s creations, again! What a magnificent ocean! What a beautiful beach! We absolutely loved it and were impressed by it although we have visited so many. We will definitely come back to St. Augustine beach and try to get an ocean front property! In all fairness, my final review of this property is that it is a very comfortable and spacious property for a family and has easy access to the beach..(and easy access to pool too, but we did not use of course) and the kitchen is fully well equipped...(the only safety concern was the dining rolling chairs that were dangerous, as my 8 years old fell from it as it tilted forward when he tried sitting on it, and the same almost happened to me, an adult, so I will say is dangerous for an elderly too. Overall, It was an excellent experience for us and the check in and check out was quick and convenient. The staff very responsive and polite!We loved St. Augustine! ❤Thank you!
