Spring River Lake is centrally located within minutes from Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor, Schoodic Point, lighthouses, and many other day trip adventures. Yet it is beautifully isolated in a small mountain area around Tunk Mountain. The shores of the lake are graced by tall pines, maples and birches, the lake is dotted with huge boulders and its waters watched over by ospreys, eagles, loons and mergansers.
Sip your morning coffee on the porch as you watch the fog roll through the inlet or down from Tunk Mountain. Then venture off to Acadia or the surrounding state park for backcountry hiking. Or just enjoy the crystal-clear lake from the dock, kayaks, or canoe available at the cabin.
Back at the cabin, enjoy an evening drink as the sun floods the sky with pink, red and purple. Then enjoy the incredible view of the Milky Way, and possibly catch a peek at the dancing Capella just above the mountain to the North.
