I’ve stayed here many times and it’s always been great. Staff are very friendly and helpful and it is exactly what I need when staying in TriBeCa. Near the subway, restaurants, groceries, drugstore. I feel very safe here.

The only thing that was great about the Sonder Duane was the staff--every last one of them was pleasant and helpful. The building seems to be an old hotel with a makeover that is now tired and showing wear and tear: the elevator is very slow, the hallways are narrow; the windows don't open; there were lots of spots where scratches had been painted over; and the shower grout was stained. The hotel was clean, but I missed having the room tidied on a daily basis.

Air system not working - HOT

The room was extremely small and the temperature control was non existant. Our first night there we asked 2 times for someone to come fix the air or for a new room. They claimed that they fixed the cooling system, but when we returned from dinner the room was quite warm. By the middle of the night it was 35 degrees celsius in the room and we were extremely uncomfortable. At the price per night, it is absolutely unacceptable to allow guests to stay under these conditions.

When in NY, you can't beat Tribeca

This area is fantastic if you are looking for something a little different. Arts, culture, cool little bars that you barely know are there unless you look hard enough. Duane Street Hotel excels because of the staff. Matt and everyone else worked incredibly hard to ensure our happiness, even in the face of some unfortunate circumstances in the hotel. We were always happy to come "home" at the end of our day to your smiling faces. Thank you guys for being so awesome. Bar drinks are well crafted with care and excellence.

Was on the second floor, which is essentially right next to the street. Windows were dirty. Room was tiny. Loud noises in the hallway. Very underwhelming for a hotel which charges so much. Location is good though and the staff were really friendly.

Cold Snowy winter weekend ...

Great to be walking close to lots of TriBeca Soho shops, food and friends. Very pleasant staff... clean and efficient but quite small rooms. Will stay regularly on brief visits ... gg
