The room was very old and in need of renovation, particularly the bathroom. There was a lid left in the shower from a complimentary bath wash. And the balcony and chairs on balcony were very dirty and we had to clean them. The rate was high for a 1 night weeknight stay. The positives were the service, the late check in was seamless and staff member was very polite and friendly. The location is fantastic if you are wanting to be in Fortitude Valley.

When we arrived, there was no one at reception. The room was warm, never did cool down during yhe atay. The furniture was filthy. When i entered the apartment, there was hammering and sawing at the adjoining wall. This was approximately 12pm. When i asked about it at the desk, they noted it was work being done on the drains outside and would be done by 2. The next morning, the noise started again at 8:30am. Reception indicated it was "legal" to start at 7am! I would not have stayed had i known there was planned construction going on. I would not recommend this place.

Very noisy on weekends but decent hotel

Wouldn’t recommend a weekend stay if you want a decent sleep. Very noisy area. We were on the 5th floor & didn’t sleep a wink until 2am. Other than that, it was clean and quite comfortable. Definitely not luxury. Very close to Felon’s etc

Do not take room 211

We do not recommend the room 211, very dirty and not maintained at all. Housekeeping changed batteries and bulbs, couldn't do ore. No cleaning in between. Broken knobs, scratched surfaces, damaged old sofa, we were very shocked. And the place was extremely loud, no insulation at all.

I was a late check-in and the instructions were clear and simple. The location is central to the Valley and for a place to crash after a big night out it was just perfect. It is an older building so there are some cracks and water damage in the bathroom. But overall it's been kept up very well. It's functional and was just what we needed for our big night out.

Overall it was a great stay. The location is great for nightlife, food etc with a train station only a short walk away. The room itself was clean but needed some TLC. Tiles were broken, the sofa had seen better days, cupboards and hooks were broken and the bed did not feel like it was lasting much longer. It was fine for us as we were rarely in there, but if you were planning on cooking, spending more time there you might be a bit disappointed with it in comparison to the pictures shown as not all rooms look like the pictures.

Affordable and convenient. Was able to check in early and check out/leave my car until later in the day which was great. Friendly staff. Stayed here for my uni prac. Was great to have a stove and washing machine/dryer. So many good options down stairs. The apartment could do with a deep clean as it wasn’t throughly cleaned in some areas but otherwise it was ok.

Perfect spot

Amazing room on 2 floors with a bed and bathroom on a mezanine. Well equipped. Very comfy. Excellent location close to bars and restaurants. Woukd definitely stay there again. Stayed for 2 nights. Easy to eat out and to cook for ourselves. Leaking toilet made the room smell a bit but otherwise perfect

The staff was great, and would really try to help out, however the room was full of dust, a few things in need of maintenance. While I asked to clean a little more, you could notice the years of accumulated dust on the corners, in the fly screen, and the windows seemed to never had been cleaned. Even the bed head was dusty. Sheets were clean, and location was fantastic!

Conveniently located right by Howard Smith Wharves, the river walk into the city and the Fortitude Valley dining and bar scene. Staff are friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the property itself is dated and in desperate need of a revamp.
