staff was very helpful

The staff was very pleasant and helpful when we required directions and obtained tickets for one of the local theatres. The rooms were clean and bright and the cleaning staff were very efficient. The parking area is well lit and clean. This was our third vacation at this location and we are looking forward to next season.

Nice Location just not on the beach.

We were under the impression that the Horizon on 77th was on the Beach, you have to walk by another hotel to get to the beach. Our room was nice but the closet doors were falling apart, maintenence had to come and remove the doors on the bedroom closet just so you could get into the closet to hang the closes. It was a little odd to only have four hangers in the closet since we stayed a week we had a few more things to hang than 4. The closet door for the washer and dryer area was also falling apart. The refridgerator/freezer and toaster was dented in, like someone punched them. We let them know right away so we would not be charged. Another disappointment was the indoor and outdoor pools only went to 3 and half feet deep. Maintenence and cleaning staff were very friendly and did a great job. We had a nice stay but it would have been better for the price we paid a night to stay if we would have known that the hotel wasn't on the beach.

"Great Getaway"

The hotel was very conveniently located being only a minutes walk to the beach. We had an excellent view of the ocean from our lovely condo. The layout of the condo was great and was quite spacious for the two of us. The kitchen had everything we needed and we loved the convenience of the washer/dryer, dishwasher, etc. The housekeeping staff were very friendly. We appreciated the welcome call to our room checking to see that everything was fine. Our condo and in fact our entire floor was completely quiet which was exactly what we needed. We would definitely recommend this hotel and would certainly love to return ourselves.

This is the email I sent the property the next day. We had checked out a few hours after checking in, it was that bad. I thought someone would have called or emailed us by now. We haven't heard back from my email or my message here on hotels.com. Good Afternoon, Based on this email I'm going to assume you did not speak with your check in crew. I would like to request a refund. We checked in around 6PM. Got to the room, there was an awful odor in the condo. We opened the doors, and turned on the fan to air out the room.  I took a quick shower, water wouldn't drain. We had a dinner reservation and didn't have time to address. We got back around 9/930. The halls smelled like pee and Marijuana. Even though we tried to air out the room, it still smelled like cheap dollar store powder carpet cleaner - everywhere. The water in the kitchen sink wouldn't drain. The sofa looks like it should have been replaced 5 years ago, we couldn't even sit on it, it was that gross. Everything was dated and in dire need of something. When we went to check out at 930PM (same night), the only thing the staff had to say was "oh no", no offer for a new room or maybe a move to your other facility? They were very nice and not rude, just not super helpful. Thank you for your time and assistance,
