The service is a bit slow. We had to bring our luggage on our own. The washing machine was not working so went to a laundromat close by. They request cash for deposit and taxes which I found odd since most places do credit card these days

I would rate the average for this property. Breakfast is geared towards low-quality food. All Indian breakfast. When I am travelling I prefer the opportunity to taste local cuisine. Staff at breakfast mostly cannot speak or communicate in English. Stayed in a similar grade hotel in Penang; this was a total disappointment. With lack of maintenance to the building. Though renovated, there is no concept of maintenance. The lobby smells like curry. The front desk only knows about how to checkin and checkout; the frontdesk staff have zero knowledge of the surroundings and any questions one may ask about KUL. You need to hire local Malayan talent. Looks like most of the staff are overseas on work-permits The hotel owner needs to seriously look at maintaining the Ramada Suites level. I don't know how they got the Ramada franchise. I hope the owner review my comments about the property and pay attention, otherwise, the way this is being managed , in a year's time this will be in ruins .

Check in was a bit messy as I was going to pay by cash I was asked to go out and bring the cash. Was not willing to accept my credit card as a hold until I checked in and went out to a money exchange to bring the local currency. There was a cockroach in our room. Restaurant staff, particularly the head Nishantha Samaranayake was great.

The internet

If you are on holiday this hotel is perfect, but If you are on business and need to be connected to the world via internet, this is not the hotel. The room is not design for desktop work, there is not enough room to use your laptop and the lighting arrangement is extreme bad for working. The worst is the WiFi, it is so slow when it works I had to rely on my mobile connection, which is comparatively expensive.

It’s a nice place to stay but the bathroom is a bit disappointing, the sink and tables are too small. And the room view that I paid for is not satisfying, they gave me a back view where all you can see are old houses.

Nice room, nice area.

Well I paid for breakfast but they don’t serve it until 7:30, which was when i already had to be at the airport, so they should have some sort of thing available for those of us who had to leave early, which is common. I’ve never been anywhere that didn’t have the breakfast start at at least 6:30 if not 6. Maybe they could even just update the site with the hours so you pay for a breakfast you can’t have. I also asked for a quiet room, which meant don’t stick a bunch of people around me. It wasn’t busy and easy to do, but there were people screaming in the hallway at midnight. The room itself was super nice and I’m sad I didn’t get to use most of its amenities. The area itself was loud and had a lot of bars but had good eateries around.
