The staff were pleasant but they gave us keys to someone else’s room then we had to move to a room onto the second floor when we requested the first floor. Than breakfast was fruit loops and that was about it

Pretty nice place for the rates!!

Overall, the stay was good. For the price I was satisfied. Been in way more expensive places with bad service and not so clean rooms. Thanks corn palace!!

Good value for dollar option in Mitchell

Check-in was disappointing as I was told they might not have a cot available for the 5th member of our group. I had clearly indicated that there was 3 adults and 2 kids on our reservation so why would this be the case? Did they expect that we would all fit in the two queen beds? if so then they should have contacted me to verify the requirements. An observation was made by the clerk that there were no special notes added to my reservation. I did not think to do this as I would have expected that the data given as to the makeup of our group when I booked would have been enough. A cot was located and I was subsequently charged for its use. ( the surcharge for the cot was encountered at another ABVI - why can this not be included in the total?). Other than check-in the rest of the hotel experience was fine. The room was large and clean - the kids enjoyed swimming in the warm outdoor pool. There were several breakfast choices- some fresh fruit would have been nice. This hotel is an affordable lodging choice.

Price was good, rooms clean and comfortable

The hotel was comfortable and clean. I was disappointed with the Receptionist, due to the fact we had been traveling for a long time and when we got to the hotel to check in the front desk clerk was not friendly and like I was bothering her to check in. I know everyone can have a off day so I didn't think much of it, till the next day when I went to check out I got the same service. Other than that Hotel was what I expected

Not cleaned very well.....

There were very little rooms available when we were in Mitchell so had to book this one. In faiorness staff were nit that friendly as they had a biker upset about a screw up with his booking (through an online web page) but it must have rattled here as not attentive to me. But the rooms were not cleaned well at all..wood around window extremely dusty, exhaust fan housing looked like a birds nest,,room smelled a bit with stained carpet, pop or something on walls. an old uncomfortable double bed...Old picture tube 26" tv beside bed....just not a good room or place to stay. was not expensive but not worth even $25 a night..stay elsewhere unless you are OK with a dirty place....motel 6 way better and same price

Aged Hotel

We were in town for 4 days. This is a dated hotel, that has a number of people who actually live at the hotel. One guy lives there month to month. Walks a round talking to himself, leaves his door open and blasts his music. A good hotel for workmen as I was woke up late at night and early morning by them. Not a good place for family or couples. Limited breakfast menu, they kept running out if supplies. Housekeeping bangs in the door even though we had a do not distrube sign on the door.

Reasonable choice for a one-night stay

We chose this hotel because the price was more reasonable than the other available options in the area and we were only staying one night. The hotel is older and a little dated but the room was clean. The pool is outdoors and it appeared to be clean and in good shape although we did not use it. The free breakfast had limited choices but other wise was acceptable. The breakfast room is in a separate building and table space was limited.

Affordable and nice

This motel was very reasonable priced and had received some mediocre reviews, which was not reassuring when I booked on-line. It turned out to be a great place to stay - comfortable, affordable, conveniently located, with a decent continental breakfast. Will stay again.

Because of country fair in Mitchell options were limited. The room smelled very dank and musty. The sink and floor tiles cracked, dead bugs on walls and ceiling, cigarette burns on the tub, curtains very flimsy. Would not stay here.

We there there to check in around 6-7 pm and there was no one working the doors were locked and we had to call so someone could come over. The lobby smelt like cat urine. The room was decent and it was clean. However, in order to operate the tv you had to do it by the tv you could not turn it on or off with the remote.
