Mistakenly booked one too many days with expedia. .ca. Tried to cancel the extra day at the hotel but they said Expedia had to do it. Tried to cancel with Expedia and they first refused because it was the no refund booking, then they said they’d call me back. 5 days later still no call. Now I have to call Visa and dispute the charges. Hotel was nice. Great location. Just a bit dated. Could use some updates. Especially the tv’s

The property in general is showing its age. Unit 710 has seen some upgrades in the kitchen primarily. I enjoyed the Master with ensuite and closed in balcony. It was wonderful opening all 4 patio sliders to let the ocean breeze blow through! Great sunset views! I found the bed very comfortable in this room. I did not sleep on the twins in the 2nd bedroom. I would recommend Unit 710 to a couple couples, or small family to rent. There's no bed per se in the living room so larger parties woud need cots or air mattresses. The staff in the lobby were very pleasant and helpful. After hours security, the same. Overall, this place was clean, comfortable and functional. But the New Glitter is gone. Its weathered a bit and the window, patio and bathroom glass all need proper treatment, not just cleaning. I would rent Unit 710 again.

Love the beach view!

The location and view of the ocean are hard to beat! All rooms have large windows overlooking the ocean. We had a deluxe room which had a moderately updated kitchen and bathroom, but room amenities well pretty standard and adequte. Location is great in busy beach village of Pacific Beach. Lots of stores and restaurants within a few minutes walk. Grocery within a few minutes drive. Downtown and most activities within 20-25 minutes. I would definitely recommend this place. Great for small families.

This was he perfect location for our needs.

We needed a separate bedroom for two and a pull-out for one with space to move about and a kitchen..The suite was extremely well designed and nicely fitted out. The view was picture perfect. The location was good for visiting both to the north and south of Pacific Beach. The restaurants near by were a bit rowdy but there is a great grocery store and a big pharmacy within walking distance.

Read some negative reports on the Capri so I was pleasantly surprised at the state of our unit. It was clean ,nicely furnished with a fully equipped kitchen.I would definitely go back there and recommended it to friends and Family

First time at Pacific Beach

Wasn't too sure reading older posts but we were pleasantly surprised. The unit was a standard and after going to the patio doors and opening them up to the quiet roar of the ocean all the negatives disappeared. We will come back here again for a lot of reasons, beach, watching surfers, pool, sauna, hot tub, bbq on the rod with amazing views, close to bars, groceries, and he Boardwalk to stroll

Great Location, Very Dirty Room

Capri by the Sea is in a great location in Pacific Beach, California. All rooms face the ocean and have awesome views. Unfortunately our room (# 712) was very, very dirty. The carpet was stained and looked like it should have been in a fraternity house. Shoes were worn often in the room so we did not have to walk on the carpet. The rest of the condo was fine but the floors were disgusting. At just about $300.00cdn per night I would expect much more. A nice clean room in this complex would have been a great holiday.

Upon arrival, we did not notice the lack of cleaning done to our room because of the initial excitement and the unpacking of our luggage. There were crumbs,popcorn kernels, and pieces of juice containers on the floor and couches. The bathroom had dried urine on the toilet seat and there was something green in the bowl that someone had coughed up and forgot to flush. My wife cleaned the bathroom. (At least the towels were clean). The carpet was dirty with at least two footprint sized black marks on the beige rug. When I approached the front desk and spoke with a gentleman there, all he said was " I am sorry". No cleaning or room change or compensation was offered.

Good hotel for family holiday at the beach

4 adults, 2 young children, lots of room. Excellent sea views and beach access. Room needed some cleaning and some clothes hangers on arrival but issues were addressed promptly by staff. Facilities good and staff friendly. Although it looked nice, we didn't use the pool; beach had more appeal. Close to restaurants, etc and good access to freeways and La Jolla. Good base for holiday in San Diego without the crowds, etc. Great walking. Laundry available but we didn't use it. Room was a bit old but in generally good condition. Sort of like our house. We had a van and appreciated very much the free parking. Would certainly come back again if the need/opportunity arose.

Relax at the sea

If you are looking for some downtime at the beach, go here. Just couple steps to the beach, awesome sunsets right from the room. It has full kitchen so you can do your whole foods groceries (also a couple of these within 20 minutes) and cook your own whole food meals.

good location on beach and walking paths

We liked the room and location and would go again. We traveled lots and wasn't far from most things we did, very centeral to shops and hiways. You could look out every morning and view the beach and ocean. Parking was good and secure. Was a nice place to go on the beach and walk along the path with shops of all kinds close. We also enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Nice size for kids to play in and was well maintained

Amazing location with amazing view, nice room

The location of the condo complex is amazing, and each room has a stunning view of the ocean. The rooms are nice, but nothing exceptional. The only negatives were the old bathroom and the miniature balcony (basically a Juliette balcony).I would recommend this place to anyone.

If you are looking for 5 star, keep looking. If you've lived cottage life you will cope. Old beat up furniture and granny's duvet, grubby couch & carpets, counters & glass table tops were streaky and dirty, blinds covered in dust. Big sliding doors but just a rail, no balcony. Messy handprint on the mirrored wall. No in-room laundry (coin laundry down the hall). And the big no no: there was a hair in both my sink and bathtub. UGH. Things you just shouldn't have to worry about cleaning yourself. Other guests we talked to had plumbing problems and had to be moved. We had an enormous corner unit on the 7th floor, room enough for everyone, but my son ended up staying somewhere else. Electronic security was tight in the building and as late arrivals (11pm) the security guard helped us get in. My son, who was to arrive about 1am, rented elsewhere because we could not find parking for his van and trailer. Pool and hot tub were partway down the block between some buildings, not in the sun. Parking for the car was underground and between 2 walls--too small for people to get in an out of the car. THE OCEANFRONT VIEW WAS MARVELOUS! We lazed in the window for hours on cool February days, soaking in the sun AND watching tv at the same time. Kitchen was well equipped so we cooked a few meals right at home. San Diego and Pacific Beach had enough charm to entertain but given, the condition of our room, it is unlikely that I would chose this condo again.

Fantastic location!

Absolutely great place to stay. Complete1 bedrooms studio with ocean view, floor to ceilling windows, + parking, boogies board, cooler, etc. We had requested a sofa bed , we got 2 beds in a large rooms instead. However, sofa was big and comfy so we managed to sleep on it. The place was too perfect to complain. Definitely would return

Amazing Condo!!!

Celebrated our 2nd wedding anniversary here and we are coming back for sure! Condo #1011 was an amazing condo with an amazing view! Close to everything - restaurants, grocery stores and awesome shopping. Safe, secure building, quiet and off main drag from party areas. The huge beach right outside the door! Sunsets were fantastic! Everything you need is in the condo just like at home! Don't hesitate in booking!
