Advise hot eg we were coming in late evening and needed a hair dryer, said no problem will have it there, told us room number too. But when we arrived there was a horrible smell in room and no toilet tissue. Room was filthy! Unable to address problem as no front desk staff until 9 am. Was given a another room, but floors were still filthy.

The Caroline is located on A1A, a main drag, in Hollywood so it's a relatively noisy location. Its positive is that it's 2 short blocks from the Broadwalk which is a huge selling point. When I arrived, I had a printed confirmation for a certain "pay at the counter" amount and they insisted the amount was more than what my paper said. We were able to check in early for an extra fee. We were first placed in a room which was very disappointing. We were willing to stay in the room but when evening came, we turned on the TV to find that we had just one TV channel - PBS. After complaining, nothing was done and they refused to change our room even though the room next door was vacant. By the end of the second day, they finally changed our room to the one they had refused before. The electronic code was the same for both. The second room was a big step up from the first. It was much larger with a nice layout. However, the floor was filthy. The TV had hundreds of channels but none were particularly interesting. I had no use for a "Rifleman" channel or 10 fireplace channels. There was not hint of ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox, etc. The remote control they provided was inadequate but I was able to use a remote control app on my phone. Wi-Fi worked most of the time but was often unreliable. In my opinion, the people in the office try to be responsive but their hands were tied by an off-site management structure. The Caroline is inadequately maintained and needs to be cleaned much better.

If going by the price paid, it was good value. Most important is comfort of the bed and this was fine. It was certainly not the cleanest but could be worse. Toilet seat was broken. The location was amazing to walk to everything!

The photo listed is false advertisement!!! the rooms are discussing, toilet seat broken, shower curtain rod broken, mold on the bath tiles and floor. broken kitchen chairs, they will only give you one towel only to share with three people and only one Toilet Paper roll. Used blankets that were filthy and stained, a couch in the room that have gross stains all over the couch and foul smell in the room. The noise level at night was terrible and loud from the people that were having a party outside our room. Garbage everywhere on the property. This place should not be listed on your site. I would like to get a full refund on this. No one should stay there!!!! Falsely Advertisement!!!!

Decent motel in a very convenient area. The beach is only a minute walk from the room, but since the motel faces the road, it can get a little noisy. Our first room was not as nice because the windows did not close making it cold at night, the toilet seat was broken, and some electronics did not work. We were given a different room which was much better, but obviously not a 5 star room. I left my bathing suit to dry on the line outside, and it was stolen; so hopefully whoever reads this is warned and to be careful with your belongings. The front desk closes at 6 for the day, luckily we made it right before so make sure you don’t miss it. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay, and the front desk lady Jennifer was helpful with our problems.

We did not stay as the room did not have a working smoke detector. The photos on hotels.com do not reflect the current state of the hotel. The kitchen was not equipped and the hotel is right at the road, making it very noisy. The front desk staff was friendly but could not answer questions about the tv. The exterior had not been maintained. We were there for about 15 minutes before deciding it was not a place to spend 3 nights.

This hotel was a 1 minute walk to the beach which was amazing!! We stayed for only 1 night so it was great. The floors didnt look like they had been swept and the fire alarm kept ringing because the battery was low. But the service was amazing! I would stay again for a short stay.

We were guaranteed a late check in for booking through Expedia, however, when we called to advise the hotel that we would be arriving later than expected, nobody answered or returned our voicemails or emails. They refuse to give a refund even though we weren't even able to stay. We had to walk down the street in Florida late at night and try to find another hotel to stay at. Absolutely terrible service. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!

The location is great during the day, but you don’t feel overly safe as soon as it gets dark out. Things not supplied in the room: - a blanket - towels - soap of any kind. We also had to go a purchase more toilet paper and there was only 1/4 a roll in the washroom at check in. The floors were also not clean and we found someone else’s empty travel shampoo in the shower. The Broadwalk is great, and you are super close when staying at the hotel. Did the trick but won’t be back.

Owner was unhappy with the price we paid through Expedia and then put us in a room on another property which we had to walk to with all our luggage in tow. The room was gross and falling apart. We didn’t even sleep under the covers. The tile in the bathroom floor was loose, the floor was sticky, the table was dirty. Luckily we only stayed for one night. Will not return. Do yourself a favour and pay the higher price for a better room somewhere else!

Girl at the front desk has limited English. We were able to store our bags and when we returned to check in the owner was there. He asked how we got such a low rate for the room and we said we booked through Expedia. He went off on a rant, saying if we try to come back we will never get the same rate. He said he has to make money and we would have to pay much more to stay. He kept on and on, like it was our fault we got the rate we did. He is the one allowing people to use Expedia to book!! We spent considerable time getting the TV to work. Very basic room with few extras. No hair dryer or hand towels. Half a ceiling fan and the light didn’t work. The one great thing is the location, only a block off Hollywood Beach and the Boardwalk. The owner does not have to worry about us coming back.

Awful experience

This place is terrible! Don't book here, seriously. The office is closed in the morning, spent hours waiting for someone. Then the owner was very rude and starting accusing me of being a troublemaker without a reservation and said he didn't have any rooms available even though I had a reservation. Then claimed he had to cancel another reservation to give me a room. The room was old and filthy, and I didn't feel safe so I ended up leaving. I have traveled a lot and never had issues like this. Book somewhere else.
