We did not receive an email with our room number & acess code before we arrived and we found this is needed to even enter the hotel as there is no front desk. A free breakfast was advertised but the turnstile only allowed one of the 2 of us to enter the dining area. The hotel is under renovation and a worker appeared in our unit with no warning. Not impressed with expedia or the hotel. We will never come here again or recommend it to anyone.

We checked in late, no staff but we had a code to get in etc so not a problem. We got up early to go to the airport at 6 am. There is a landline phone in the lobby that automatically calls a taxi for us. Would stay again. Really just a base to explore out of. The area around is good. Dominoes pizza and a convenience store 1block away

The hotel has a virtual assistant - which means all is digital, there are no people to greet you, you get your digital key and you get in. I am not sure I like that approach - I am sure it keeps the cost down. The room was quite small, and didn't find the bed comfortable. It was clean, but appeared outdated. The cost of staying in a hotel in Iceland is comparable to staying in Hotels in Manhattan, New York which are in better condition and offer better service. I had to book here because my first choice, Orkin, wasn't available for the night, I do not recommend, not worth the price tag.

The sink was leaking, we check into a room with a un flushed toilet. There are no hangers to hang our coat or jacket. This is a very disappointing hotel.

There was renovations taking place there would have been nice to know that before. Parking wasn't clear and there was no staff to talk to to ask just a buzzer to call at the door

The self check-in worked well. The restaurant next door is really nice. The shower is quite nice but a bit odd, water gets on the toilet if one is not careful.

It is a nice place clean and organized. The check in is easy, although there is no reception. But because of the lack of staff I couldn’t get further service. Anyway it worth it a lot comparing the many hotels in Reykjavík

trouble with access codes

access code for access to hotel and the self storage for luggage did not work. there were also a few groups having the same problem when we arrived. contacting 24 help line wasn't much help. some other people who were staying there helped us with storage in the morning before we were allowed to self check in at 3pm. after 3pm, one of the codes worked (we had 2 reservations). but if the codes only work after 3pm, then hotel can't tell guest they can store their luggage before checking in. otherwise, hotel was in good shape,

Good communication / preparation, so had no check-in issues. It was clean and the bed was very comfortable. It’s close enough to downtown to walk. Parking, however, was difficult, unless you pay, TV didn’t work. Bathroom shower is older and it is a basic hotel; but, overall it was a good experience and I would definitely stay here again.

I will be sending another email with pictures, videos and descriptions about this hotel. I will be insisting on a full refund. I never stay there at all. The hotel can verify through their systems. All is by code entry and all entries are recorded. Expedia should not have sanctioned this as a place to stay. They should have done their research.

So the lobby is under minor construction, but the room was very satisfactory. Also the surrounding area outside is under heavy construction. it's very close to downtown so lots of great restaurants close. there is a free breakfast that looks good but my airport bus arrived much before their opening time of 7am, so I was unable to try it.

I stayed for a week and the hotel never cleaned my room or changed my towels. So I asked the hotel to clean and change the towels, but they didn't clean and change the towels until I left. So I had to stay in the same towel and messy room for a week.
