You can add or update fees on your rates calendar to reflect the full cost of a stay.

How fees work

All mandatory fees are always shown up-front to travellers—there are no hidden fees. This helps build trust and ensures your guests know exactly what they’re paying. Learn more about Vrbo’s up-front pricing.

There are two types of fees you can set:

  • Standard fees: For extra guests, cleaning, and pets.
  • Custom fees: Any other charges specific to your property or business.

Important notes

Add or edit your fees

To make sure your pricing displays correctly, add all fees and taxes in the Fees section of your Vrbo owner dashboard (not in the property description or other text boxes):

  1. Log in to your account.
  2. If you manage more than one property, choose the listing you want to update.
  3. Go to Calendar.
  4. Select Settings, then choose Fees.
  5. Under Standard Fees, enter the amounts for each applicable fee.
  6. To add Custom Fees, enter the details. You can add up to 6 custom fees.
  7. Select Save.

Note: If you’ve set a tax percentage in your listing’s Rules and Policies, you’ll see a checkbox next to each fee to apply tax. If taxes are handled by Vrbo in your region, these checkboxes won’t appear.
