This cute carriage house provided privacy in a premium location. Within walking distance from the Market and tons of downtown Charleston restaurants ! Will def rent again!Charleston
Absolutely loved the location. The sound of horse drawn carriage tours served as a reminder of how perfect the location was... and so close to meet my friends at Charleston Place! Friday, I enjoyed the sunshine on the brick patio and read my book waiting for my daughter and soon to be son-in-law. The rest of the weekend consisted of easy walks to every where I needed to be. Highly recommend.
The property is adorable and clean. Exactly as advertised. Great location for walking to the historical section of town. Just a couple blocks from City Market
The Carriage House was comfy and welcoming. Being within walking distance of most everything was great! Be advised to bring food for breakfast if there more than 3 days. The host provided some lovely muffins, etc. but not enough for the length of our stay.
We had a wonderful stay at your place! It had everything we needed and was in a convenient location to restaurants and sites in town. We would definitely stay there again!
Our mother-daughter visit to Charleston was greatly enhanced by staying at this carriage house. The listing accurately reflects the property and the welcoming nature of the owners. We walked everywhere, including to the fabulous FIG restaurant just down the street. We enjoyed the delicious pastries and coffee in the morning and later playing cards at the table or watching TV in the evenings after dinner. We would welcome another opportunity to stay at 52 Hasell in the future.
Charleston is a beautiful city, southern hospitality and charm , we highly recommended
Location location location., a pretty carriage house , and it’s location makes it walking distance to most popular attractions. No need for a car. Our next trip to Charleston will be looking to stay at this charming and cozy house
We were within walking distance of the historic district!!
We only had 1 bathroom to share with another couple. We get along really well so that was not a problem.
I loved the basket of food etc when we arrived at the house!!
It was cozy! The gardens around the house were lush and beautiful!!
Great place!!
My sister and I enjoyed this house very much! A quaint home with comfortable beds and a decent kitchen. Very convenient for walking to many places.
I think it would help to write out instructions for using the gas fireplace and recommendations for check out.
This place is cute. Breakfast goodies were nice and thoughtful. This home needs a good cleaning to get the dirt and dust up out of the old carpet. Mold is all over the shower curtain. These are hard on one with allergies. Due to the gas logs not working (battery problem I think) the downstairs was extremely cold while the upstairs was hot. Location is perfect and decor is very warm and inviting.
Beautiful carriage house (now that I know what that is) in historic French Quarter in Charelston. No negatives at all and hope to stay there again. Really comfortable beds. Short walk to everything you may want to do in downtown Charleston. Ideal!
Lovely carriage house located in a lush garden in a neighborhood filled with historic homes. Location is excellent….. We were able to walk to restaurants, shops, and historic sites. Excellent grocery store two blocks away. The kitchen was very well equipped and the owners provided a very nice selection of breakfast items. The home would be perfect if the owners would take the time to do a thorough cleaning and pay attention to other obvious maintenance details.

Liked: Check-in, communication, location
Disliked: Cleanliness, listing accuracy
Great location but problems
The owners are wonderful and the location was perfect. However, the mold around the vents upstairs, the old upstairs carpeting (been an issue from previous reviews going back a number of years), mold around the upstairs windows, floor molding coming away from bathtub all indicate some repairs and deep cleaning need to happen.
Fabulous carriage house in the heart of Charleston
This carriage house was conveniently located in the historic district yet in a quiet location providing the best of both worlds. 2 blocks from fabulous restaurants (Tempest and Cru were our favorites). Everyday we had wonderful breakfasts delivered. The carriage house had 2 nice bedrooms, a kitchen, small dining are and a nice sitting area with a TV. There was a quiet garden area as well as 2 parking spaces. A marvelous place to stay
This was the perfect place to stay in downtown Charleston! So beautiful, had everything we needed, and was in walking distance to all our favorite spots. The breakfast provided was excellent. We will definitely be back. Thank you for having us!
