Rustic but charming
Was comfortable for our needs. I would suggest a dehumidifier as it was a little musty smelling and a new coffee maker.

Great cottage convenient to Barre and Montpelier
We, in our sixties, and our Dad, in his late eighties, stayed here in May for a week. The hosts were fantastic. Even left us a dozen eggs from their farm plus a variety of beers 😁. Downstairs has everything you need. Full kitchen, living room, bedroom and bathroom with shower. Screened in and 2nd open but covered porch were delightful. Kitchen has pots and pans, table settings, and appliances like dishwasher, toaster and drip coffee maker. You’ll need to bring your own spices. If planning to cook. Upstairs had 3 bedrooms plus a bathroom with just a bath (no shower). The beds we slept in were very comfortable and we appreciated the nice linens. The stairs going upstairs are VERY STEEP. We climbed them basically like a ladder. Being built in 1827, the house is not handicap accessible but an absolute treasure otherwise. We highly recommend!

Great stay at the Stonecutters cottage
We stayed 5 nights and really enjoyed the house. We especially enjoyed the rich history about the house and people that lived there. The hosue maintays its character while still maintaining most of the modern features we enjoy. The owners greeted us when we arrived and explained to us everything we needed to know. They were great hosts!

Restful cottage
The perfect place to rest, relax and unplug from the daily chaos. The cottage was cozy and homey. It slept 4 adults easily. Enjoying coffee every morning on the front porch was my favorite part of the stay.
