The Lodge is located in Eastbourne, on the South East's 'Sunshine Coast.' The property is a great place to stay as a base whilst enjoying a short break in Eastbourne and the surrounding area.
Nestled in the beautiful South Downs, Eastbourne is bursting with many things to see and do. There are plenty of attractions. Visit the Victorian seafront, its pier or take a stroll along the promenade.
Enjoy a boat tour of the Eastbourne Harbour followed by a choice of many restaurants, whilst watching the sunset.
The town of Eastbourne itself has great shopping facilities with the recently expanded 'Beacon' shopping centre. For History lovers there is the Redoubt Fortress and Wish Tower and for those who love the arts, try the Towner Art Gallery and take in a show at the town's theatres including the recently refurbished Congress.
Eastbourne also has many summer exhibitions and events. From Eastbourne International Tennis Week (June 23-29, 2019) to Airbourne Airshow (August 15-18, 2019), there is always something happening. Don't forget the Magnificient Motors Event, showcasing vintage vehicles for motor enthusiasts (May 4-5, 2019)! All this plus the Bandstand on the seafront which hosts live music, pop tributes, fireworks, children's discos, big band and more!
The South Downs and UK's largest chalk sea cliff, Beachy Head, are Eastbourne's most famous TV and film locations. There are plenty of lovely country walks and pubs to enjoy.
The new lodge property is bright and spacious, located at the back of the owner's large garden. It has its own pathway along the side of the owner's house leading to it, to ensure privacy for visitors. Hosts, however, are nearby at the top of the garden if needed. Beautiful views of the South Downs are visible from the garden for a sense of peace and tranquility.
The lodge is bright, clean and modern. It has a large open-plan kitchen / living room. The kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge, freezer, washer drier, breakfast bar, wall oven and microwave. The living room has two large sofas, including a sofa bed for any additional guests. There is also SKY television.
The lodge has two bedrooms. One bedroom has plenty of built-in wardrobe space and a double bed. The second bedroom has a 'small double' bed which sleeps one comfortably or two smaller guests. Altogether the lodge can sleep up to 3 people (and 4 at a push).
The bathroom has a large walk-in-shower, toilet and sink. Bedding and towels are provided. It is self-catering however a welcome basket is given for those essentials!
