OREGON HILLTOP RETREAT

Large home perfect for family vacation, family reunion, business retreat, or just to get away from it all. Enjoy beautiful hill top views of the river, the mountains, the valley floor, and the night town lights and stars. A large gourmet kitchen opens to dining area, vaulted living room, beautiful stone fireplace, and huge view windows. The spacious master bedroom is on main floor with adjoining master bath with jacuzzi tub. 3 bedrooms downstairs - 2 with queen beds and one with double. 3 couches and plenty of floor space for additional guests. If you are an early riser sit and enjoy the sunrise views with your coffee. Large outdoor decking area to enjoy barbecues and an evening glass of wine. Relax in an outdoor jacuzzi with a view you can not get just anywhere. Why come to Roseburg, Oregon? Many reasons: easy access - just off Interstate 5, many wonderful wineries where you won't have the crowds of California tasting rooms ( hike to many waterfalls along the scenic hwy 138 on the way to Crater Lake National Park, try your shot at fly fishing - the Umpqua River is renowned for it's flyfishing, wonderful parks for the children to expend some energy- Stewart Park in town which is home to Music on the Half Shell a free concert summer series on Tuesday evenings on the river's edge or RiverForks Park where the north and south Umpqua Rivers meet and many summer river floaters end up. Stroll downtown to find a nice restaurant or pub. Day trips could include the Oregon Coast - Bandon by the Sea is my favorite. Or go south to experience a Rogue River Jet Boat ride. There is plenty to keep you busy or just sit and enjoy being home away from home.

The mountain views from this home cannot be beat in Roseburg! The large windows and deck with swing made it easy to enjoy the gorgeous sunrises and sunsets. We had a very relaxing time.

It is an amazing place! The kids loved it. The adults loved it. The elders loved it. If you have Littles just be aware there is poison oak where they don’t mow. It would be nice to have a fan in the main room to help move air in the heat. We would totally stay here again!

Incredible!

Patricia was not only very communicative but was also extremely accommodating. The home is absolutely beautiful with incredible views and served as the perfect home base for our daughters wedding. Had four generations of family staying there and it was perfect!

Lovely private home with great views

My family had a wonderful stay at this beautiful property. It was very much what we expected given the description and reviews. There was plenty of space for everyone, a great kitchen for cooking (although the cookware could have been better -- it's a bit hard to cook on a flattop stove with pots and pans that don't have flat bottoms), plenty of bakeware, etc. and even some spices and other staples. Loved the hot tub, the big open living area, the privacy, and the view of the river was gorgeous. Would highly recommend for anyone staying in the Roseburg area. Enjoyed some nearby hikes to see waterfalls on the Umpqua River. We had a relaxing stay and would definitely return for a future stay if we are in the area.

Beautiful setting, great house

This is the second time we've stayed at this wonderful home. It is spacious, comfortable, and has a gorgeous view of the valley and Umpqua river below. There was a snowstorm the day before we arrived, and Patricia was in contact with us to inform us of the local road conditions, make sure we had 4-wheel drive and snow tires, and gave us the number of someone in the neighborhood who could help us if we got into trouble. Luckily we were prepared and were able to get up the hill. We will likely be back!

Beautiful view

This 1970s home has a lovely view and enough room to accommodate a moderate group. We really enjoyed the living space. We would have loved to have a second king bed in the downstairs to accommodate 2 adult families. One of the bedrooms is within the laundry room. The beds were a little firm for our preference. The shower in the master bath is in a deep tub with no curtain - probably not recommended for anyone with balance or mobility problems. The most accessible/user-friendly shower is in the downstairs. There is tons of kitchen equipment and supplies. We did not use the outdoor amenities due to excessive temperatures while we were there. The decks are very high up. If you have tiny children, a baby gate or two would be helpful. The host set out toys for the kids which was nice and there are lots of entertainment options re games etc. It’s a gated community and felt safe.

We love this property!

Multiple friends who gathered from all over the country at this beautiful home, and we were all in love with this home and the view. Patricia is hands down the very BEST VRBO owner I have ever dealt with. The home was clean and well furnished. If we could give this 10 stars we would! There is no doubt where we will stay if we come back to Roseburg!

Beautiful location

This house is in a magnificent setting and is very private. Neighboring homes were not in our view. My kids and grandkids were there to bond and play and there was plenty of room to do just that. I would stay again if we ever plan a family gathering in Roseburg Oregon.

Stunning house and location... But the VIEW is the star of the show!!

We did a girl's weekend and didn't want to leave! The host was kind and accommodating. The house was super comfy and clean. The kitchen was fully stocked and so much fun to make meals in. The hot tub with the views of the valley all lit up at night was a welcome treat! Can't wait to go back!

Luxurious and comfortable stay

But far, the best vacation rental we've stayed at. The house was beautiful and was very thoughtfully stocked. We had everything we needed and more, to make our stay comfortable and luxurious. There was plenty of space for 3 families with kids, lots of games, movies, books and hot tub for our families to enjoy. We hope to come back and stay here if we get the chance again.

Absolutely Fabulous

I have stayed in many VRBO homes. This one was the second best of all. Plenty of space for our "wine family". The view was breathtaking. Kitchen was well equipped. Bathrooms were very nice and sufficient for our group. Beds all comfy. We floated the North Umpqua, visited several wineries, had a fabulous dinner at the Parrott restaurant nearby and enjoyed the home. It was a truly wonderful experience. All of our group want to return. Thank you from our whole group. The wild grapes!

Wonderful Experience

Our stay was great! We enjoyed cooking, sitting in the hot tub and the gorgeous views. Many have commented on the overall wear and tear of the house and though clearly there needs to be updates, the owners are very upfront about it in the paperwork at the property. The pictures do not do the house justice. The views and overall ambiance of the house is amazing! Fair warning: the road is much steeper than we imagined and could be difficult for some folks but if you are a runner of hills, you will be in heaven! Thanks for letting us stay in your beautiful home!
