Apartments have a tranquil and safe atmosphere and are quietly situated on the ground floor of a small, private residential apartment block in the highly desirable city suburban feeling Millionaires' district of Pollokshields. Pollokshields was Glasgow’s first garden suburb and still retains that old Victorian charm relating back to its history when it served the rich Victorian merchants who established the City of Glasgow. It is sometimes hard to believe, as you stroll along the tree lined avenues with their grand architecture, that you are only 5 mins from the bustling City Centre and just 2/3 mins to the M8/M77/M74 Motorways which means that it is easy head off in any direction. Dumbreck Train Station on the Paisley Canal Line is a 2 minute walk away and a short 5 minute hop will take you straight into the centre of Glasgow. Local buses are also nearby. The exclusive, up-market Sherbrooke Castle Hotel is closeby and the Bar and Restaurant are open to non-residents with a small local convenience store nearby. Not only this, but you will be ideally and centrally situated to enable you to visit Edinburgh, Loch Lomond, Stirling Castle and the Wallace Monument, Ayrshire (Rabbie Burns/Auld Lang Syne Country), all of which are only a short 40 minute drive away. We had a wonderful stay. You will find anbsolutely everything you may need in the way of amenities, guide books, items in the fridge - along many added special touches provided by Michele. One of the best stays we’ve had anywhere in the world. Highly recommend this place.

Out stay was amazing! Super easy check in and Michelle was super attentive and responsive! Very easy access to downtown Glasgow by car or train. Walking distance to train station and one stop from Glasgow central!

Excellent apartment, well situated for central Glasgow and also Motorways to get to Scottish scenic areas. A great deal of thought went into everything you could need available in the apartment to make your vacation totally trouble free including a small introductory consignment, present on arrival, of groceries beer and wine. This all created a more personal vacation to be enjoyed.

Hemos estado 8 días en el fantástico apartamento de Michele, uno de los mejores ( o quizás el mejor) de los que hemos alquilado. Y hemos estado en muchos buenos alojamientos... Es amplio, cómodo, agradablemente decorado, muy limpio y provisto de absolutamente todo lo que cualquiera pudiese necesitar y mucho más. Un verdadero hogar. Hay tantos detalles y está tan bien equipado que parece que su dueña fuese a recibir , no huéspedes, sino a sus mejores amigos. Está muy bien localizado, en una zona muy tranquila, a 3 o 4 minutos andando de un autobús que llega al centro de Glasgow , y si vienes en coche (como era nuestro caso) se accede fácilmente desde la autovía sin tener que cruzar en centro de Glasgow y se puede aparcar en la calle sin ningún problema. Michele ha sido una anfitriona encantadora, pendiente siempre de cualquier pregunta que pudiéramos hacerle , accesible en todo momento, y tuvo detalles encantadores con nosotros. Si volviésemos a Glasgow tenemos claro que no buscaríamos ningún otro alojamiento, vendríamos directamente aquí. No podríamos encontrar nada mejor. Muchas gracias por todo, Michele. I also have a 3-Bedroom Fieldside Cottage in Newton Mearns 15 minutes from Glasgow City Centre. I offer 3 and 4-Star "Home from Home" Self Catering Accommodation (Graded by Visit Scotland - The National Tourist Board for Scotland) with an attentive, knowledgeable but unobtrusive approach. I am a member of the ASSC - The Association of Scotland's Self Caterers so you can be assured of a professional and efficient service.
The most important thing to me is that my guests are happy. I know that, from experience, if you stay once, you will return again if you come back to Glasgow, as my many repeat guests do, time after time.
I graduated with Honours as a Teacher of Physical Education in 1982 and then taught in London. I worked as a Holiday Representative for Thomson Holidays for six years and I bring that valuable experience very much into how I organise what I do now in terms of hospitality, organisation and attention to detail.
I then retrained as a Teacher of Primary Education before meeting my husband and starting a family.
I started "Glasgow Self Catering Apartments" in 2007 and have welcomed thousands of visitors, many of whom return again and again.....

Why they chose this property
I have been operating since 2007 when I started off with just one apartment. I now have four 4-Star Apartments in two different but equally lovely areas on Glasgow's South Side - Langside and Pollokshields. I also have a 3 Star Graded detached 3-Bedroom Country Cottage in Newton Mearns which, although on the outskirts of Glasgow, is only 15 minutes to the City Centre. I was born and brought up in Shawlands on the South Side of Glasgow so I am very familiar with the area and its benefits. I truly want all my guests to experience the best of what Glasgow has to offer and so my locations were carefully chosen for their peaceful, safe and prestigious aspects. City Centres can be noisy, Car Parking can be non-existent or very expensive. My locations take away all this stress and yet allow quick and easy access to the hustle, bustle and excitement of the City Centre. Minutes from M77/M8/M74 makes this a great central base to explore Glasgow and beyond.
