In the historical center of Meta di Sorrento, in an elegant and ancient renovated villa, Sophia is an apartment of 100 m2, located in the town of Meta di Sorrento, close to bars, pharmacy, grocery stores and a 10-minute walk from the beach.

In the historical center of Meta di Sorrento is Sophia, a renovated apartment set within a large, elegant villa. Surrounded by beautiful gardens, with quiet walkways and pergolas entwined with flowers, the villa is testament to the graceful style of days gone by.

The ancient port of Meta di Sorrento lies to the east of Sorrento and boasts the region's longest beach, Spiaggia Alimuri, which is just a ten minute walk from Sophia. The apartment is also close to bars, a pharmacy and grocery stores.

Ideal for a group of friends, or a family, perhaps the highlight of Sophia is the lovely private terrace, with wooden table and chairs for eight people, a sunshade, barbeque and outdoor shower. The ideal place for a meal, or to while away the afternoon with a book and a glass of wine, the terrace has lovely views over the gardens of the villa to the hillsides beyond.

Three sets of double doors lead onto the terrace, two from the living room, and one from the kitchen, letting light flood into the apartment. One of the bedrooms is also accessed via the terrace, providing a private annexe for a couple within the group. This has a double bed, mini bar, air conditioning and television and an en suite bathroom with shower, wash basin and toilet.

The elegantly furnished living room has armchairs and a comfortable double sofa bed, plus a television and DVD player. There are air conditioning units throughout the apartment providing both cool and warm air as required.

The long galley kitchen is equipped with all essentials, including gas hob, oven, fridge freezer, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, kettle and coffee maker. There is a small table and chairs for casual dining.

The first bedroom lies on a corridor from the living room and has a double bed, wardrobe and television.

A second bedroom is at the top of a spiral staircase. This has twin beds (can be joined as a double on request), plus a wardrobe and television. There are lovely views across the garden. The en suite bathroom has a walk in shower, toilet, wash basin, bidet and hairdryer.

If you're looking to explore Meta di Sorrento, you may like to visit the 18th-century Basilica. With beautiful frescoes, it is the symbol of the town and a must-see. Meta di Sorrento is also known for its delicious wine and food, so sampling some of the delights in the local restaurants is a must.
