Our recently refurbished apartment is in a converted stable building and is in a fabulous central location in the trendy Merchant City surrounded by stunning architecture, high end shopping, top class restaurants, bustling trendy night life, thriving art scene and outstanding cafe culture. Its also only a 8 minute walk from Strathclyde University or the Maritime Academy. It is also a 10 minute drive to the SEC/The Hydro.
Situated in the Merchant City and a short distance from Glasgow Green the flat offers a convenient location for all the major attractions Glasgow has to offer. The famous Merchant City is renowned for its stunning architecture, high end shopping, top class restaurants, bustling trendy night life, thriving art scene and an outstanding cafe culture The flat is 8 minutes drive from the Celtic football ground and the Emirates Arena and 12 minutes drive from the Tollcross international swimming centre. Heading south a few minutes walk will take you to Glasgow Green which is Glasgow’s oldest park and is a fantastic space to explore featuring the Peoples Palace, Nelsons Monument and the Templeton Factory. Glasgow Cross and the famous Tron are under a minute walk way away and a 10 minute walk will take you to Glasgow Cathedral and Strathclyde University. The flat is also a 5 minute walk to the Barrowlands and a 10 minute drive to the SECC/The Hydro. The flat has a gated pedestrian entrance with a cobblestone courtyard which offers a quiet oasis in the hustle and bustle of the city. Vehicles enter from a rear entrance which is controlled by a security fob and the flat has a dedicated parking space. Recently refurbished this very spacious top floor apartment has a quirky feel to it with lots of light. Please note that the flat is on the third floor and there isn’t a lift so may not be suitable for someone with mobility issues. The flat has a bright spacious lounge (360 sq feet) and has skylight windows along one wall. There is a sofabed with a pocket spring mattress and two armchairs and off the lounge area there is a box room with a hanging rail and chest of drawers. The flat has a large double bedroom with plenty of storage and the bathroom features an electric shower. The stylish kitchen is equipped to the highest standard with everything you could need to prepare a meal. The flat is equipped with fast wifi and a TV with Freeview channels, free Netflix and on demand apps such as BBC iPlayer. We provide tea, coffee and other essentials such as salt & pepper and olive oil to make your stay more comfortable. Hotel standard cotton bed linen and towels are provided for all guests. For your safety there are interconnected smoke alarms and a heat detector, a carbon monoxide detector and a fire extinguisher. If travelling by car the flat can be easily reached from the M8, M74 and M77 motorways otherwise Argyle Street Train station is an 8 minute walk away, Queen Street station a 10 minute walk and Buchanan Street Bus station is a 15 minute walk away.
Guests have full use of this apartment
Please note that if you are booking for 1 or 2 guests we assume that you will only be using the bedroom. If however you also wish to use the sofa bed in the lounge then please select 3 guests. We do not allow stag parties, hen parties, smoking or pets.
Check in is anytime after 3pm with flexible access to the flat via a keybox
Check out time is 11am.
We live a short drive away so are available if required.
The Merchant City
Travel time to the airport is under 25 minutes with the express shuttle 7 minutes walk away. Queen Street Station is 8 minutes walk away offering 4 trains an hour to Edinburgh along with other destinations throughout Scotland. Travelling south is easy with Central Train Station being 10 minutes walk away offering an hourly service to London Euston.
This apartment has proved very popular with people wishing to have a city centre base for a month or more.

We normally stay in a hotel when we go to Scotland but decided to try somewhere different this time & we made the right choice. The property is very spacious & had everything we needed. Location was good. Will definitely book again
Property was comfortable, clean, and well maintained. Good communication with owner/manager. I’d recommend it to anyone looking to stay in central Glasgow.
The property was ideal for us visiting Glasgow Green.
Please note:
The stairs to the property are difficult it is not just the number of floors but the depth of the stairs are not standard but higher, we would avoid going back to the property too often because of this.
This is a fantastic location. A very large space to spend a week or so. 5 minute walk to shops, grocery store and many bars and cafes. 7 minute walk to train station. All amenities that you will need for your stay. Easy to follow check in and check out with great communication if required. The stairs to apartment are tough if not very mobile. Definitely recommended for your stay in Glasgow.

When you told us you didn't want to stay in the flat we immediately went over to inspect it and found that unfortunately the previous guests had stained the sofa and this hadn't been noticed by the cleaners. We therefore refunded you the cleaning fee in full but were surprised and concerned that you didn't wish to stay. We take care to ensure that the photos and property description accurately represent the flat and you will see that previous guests have really enjoyed their stays. The sofa cushion covers have now been dry cleaned.
We stayed in this apartment for a week. Everything was clean and comfortable. Kitchen supplies were adequate for our needs. The clothes washer works well (though the door is a bit sticky), but note that there is a drying rack, not a machine dryer. Just a warning that this is a 4th floor walk up and there is no elevator. Jacqui was very responsive to our requests and questions.
The apartment location is close to bus and rail transit, which helped with getting around Glasgow. We also appreciated having a parking spot!
I rented this flat for the weekend while visiting friend in Glasgow, it was a great comfortable place with a big comfortable living room for entertaining.
My husband Brian and I have been offering short term lettings in Glasgow since 2018 and now have a range of properties knowas a "the Glasgow Collection".
We love living in Glasgow although we wish the weather could be better!
We have a toddler who keeps us both on our toes as well as 4 older children.
We love travelling and have visited lots of places for work and pleasure. My favourite places to date are Montenegro and Brazil and I always love spending time in France. We’re hoping to visit Vancouver and New Zealand sometime soon.
