A romantic stone cottage, perfect for a couple, offers a large living room with a sofa bed and a well-equipped kitchen, a double bedroom on the mezzanine and a bathroom with a shower. Central heating and with wood stove. Large garden and terrace for lunch and relaxation. Services: TV, tourist guides, washing machine, wifi.

Porcaticcio Holiday Home is a stone farmhouse renovated since 2007 on the Tuscan-Romagna Apennines. 2 hectares of wood surround the property. Porcaticcio offers two possibilities for living. La Casetta (2-3 persons) is a romantic stone cottage, perfect for couples. The Tower-House (2-5 persons) is a spacious and elegant apartment in the owners' house, Cornelis and Gabriela. Large private outdoor spaces.
Upon your arrival you will find in the kitchen some basic necessities such as extra virgin olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt and pepper, sugar, coffee and tea and, of course, pasta. The linen is included. Animals are welcome. The owners have a border collie, his young daughter and two cats. Art and yoga: if you wish you can sculpt or paint with Cornelis (to find out more, look for artcornelis on the web). You can also practice yoga with Gabriela. In the house you will find numerous maps and guides of the territory and of the main cities.

"The house is a beautiful...

"The house is a beautiful bijoux cottage with all modern comforts. The driveway is steep but perfectly manageable. Cornelis and Gabriella are delightful and very helpful and knowledgeable. The area has a lot to offer but for higher climbing you need to go towards San Bernadino in Alpe. Beware of the restaurant La Betulla although it is VERY good it is not as close to the road as you think and there is a 15 minute drive up some steep road to eventually get there. A wonderful house for a relaxing holiday"

wunderschöner ruhiger Ort

Durch sehr sommerliches Wetter konnten wir die ganze Zeit über draußen sein und den schönen Pool genießen. Wir durften im Baumhaus schlafen, da es im Haus zu stickig war. Das war immer sehr schön. In der nahen Umgebung gibt es einen schönen Wasserfall mit Naturpool. Das Häuschen ist gut ausgestattet. Sehr liebevolle Gastgeber sind vor Ort.

Calme, repos, gite charmant et gentillesse des propriétaires

Nous avons adoré notre séjour dans le joli gite de Gabriela et Cornélius. Calme, sérénité et fraicheur (très appréciable au mois d'août !). Le gite est charmant, idéal pour un couple. A notre disposition, une petite terrasse privative où nous pouvions prendre nos repas et même un joli jardin sur le côté. Qui plus est, le jardin et l'intérieur du gite sont agrémentés de tableaux et des belles sculptures de Cornélius. C'est un environnement idéal pour ceux qui sont sensibles à l'art. Gabriela est une personne vraiment très accueillante. Elle nous a donné de bons conseils et s'est toujours montré très disponible. Si ce n'était pas si loin, on y retournerait volontiers !

Peaceful mountain retreat

Porcaticcio's stone cottage exceeded our expectations - the setting is beautiful, peaceful, scenic and beautiful sculptures were peppered about the garden. Upon arrival we were greeted by the owners and their two dogs, Baccio and Spotty (whom our daughter fell in love with). The friendliness and hospitality of the owners were amazing. Thanks Gabriella for the delicious dessert!! If you're looking for a holiday away from the maddening crowd but still close enough to be able to visit the beautiful picturesque old town nearby, make day trips to beautiful Florence, Brigishella for the best olive oil, Faenza (ceramics), Revenna (Dante's final resting place) or even Venice - this is the place for you. The location, layout and facilities were so much bigger and impressive than what the photos show. (Washing machine, coffee maker, cooker, oven, fan - all the comforts of home) We definitely recommend the property to anyone looking for some peace and quiet in the beautiful Emilia-Romagne countryside.

Entspannung pur

Ruhiger Platz über dem Tal, mit schönem Blick, geschmackvoll gestaltetes Haus, anregend durch die verschiedenen Kunstwerke von Cornelis. Wir haben uns in der Frühlingswoche wunderbar erholt. Man kann direkt vom Haus aus tolle Streifzüge durch Berge machen (Kastanienwälder, Eichen...) Es gibt einiges zu entdecken: geologisch und in Flora und Fauna. Wir haben auch einige Stachelschwein Stacheln gefunden... Dass auch die Kulturstädte Bologna und Ravenna so nah sind - prima. Gabriella und Cornelis sind dazu sehr anregende Gastgeber... und wer das italienische Essen liebt, bekommt von ihnen gute Tipps für alle Arten von Restaurants. Ulrike und Knut

The Ideal Holiday Retreat

All the information on the website was accurate.As with many beautiful locations it is difficult for the photographs to convey just how good the location is.If you like peace and quiet, beautiful scenery, but with the option to drive to interesting towns and cities this will tick all the boxes. Gabriela and Cornelis were great hosts making the booking process very easy, and suggesting interesting places to visit whilst providing background information to the area. Highlights of our stay were visits to Bologna, Fiesole(looking down on Florence),Ferrara,the mosaics at Ravenna, wandering the streets of Imola at the time of the music festival, Modena including the Ferrari museum, the list could go on! Sometimes you need a little luck, and ours was to witness the natural phenomenon of the nightly display of around 200 fire flies. We would not hesitate in recommending Porcaticcio Di Sopra as the property is called.If you do decide to visit, say ciao to Bacio the friendly Border Collie who always greeted us on returning from a days sight seeing . Happy days.

"Une petite maison agréable et des propriétaires charmants, à la fois discrets et très présents et attentionnés (merci beaucoup Gabriella et Cornelli). Et notre fils de 9 ans a été ravi de jouer avec le chien et les trois chatons de la maison. Il est cependant dommage que la grande chambre du bas ne communique pas de l''intérieur avec le reste de la maison si bien que nous n''avons occupé que le haut car notre fils ne voulait pas dormir seul. Cette disposition peut être un plus mais risque de ne pas convenir pour de jeunes enfants. L''emplacement de la maison, entre Toscane et Ombrie, permet de visiter facilement en une journée les principales villes de la région. Nous garderons un très bon souvenir de notre séjour. Merci."

"Impeccably clean.Very peaceful(in the country). Delightful surroundings - woodland, farmland and vineyards in a mountainous setting. Charming views. Facilities in the property are of the highest standard. Access was our only problem (apart from some unseasonal weather)but we understand that the drive up from the road has been given a good surface since we left."
