Castle Farm is a truly unique detached property, nestled on the foothills of the Preseli Mountains, on the edge of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park with uninterrupted views across Llys y Fran reservoir and the rolling Pembrokeshire countryside. Castle Farm was once a cow shed and part of the owner’s working sheep farm. It has been lovingly restored in 2019 to provide a truly beautiful barn conversion and is finished to a very good standard. Designed to make the most of the sublime views, enjoy waking up, draw back your curtains and reveal these truly magnificent views.

The property is approached along a private lane and as you arrive, you can really appreciate the stunning views. Externally, it has exposed stone and cedar cladding to blend in with the surroundings, and once you step inside, you can really appreciate the quality throughout. The open plan and spacious interior has retained much character with open A-frame ceilings and beams, and large bi-folding doors to bring the outside in. It is perfect for warm summer days to enjoy a glass of your favourite tipple whilst taking in the fresh air. The well-equipped kitchen area is complete with contemporary units and perfect for cooking that special meal. And don’t forget the lovingly furnished bedroom, again complete with beams and large picture windows to make the most of those views. Alternatively, you may prefer to retire to the sun room or relax in the roll-top bath. With underfloor heating throughout, this property really has it all!

Castle Farm is a few hundred yards from the rural hamlet of Tufton, complete with a traditional Welsh pub where you can sample some locally brewed ales. Lying centrally between the towns of Haverfordwest and the market town of Cardigan, they both offer a plethora of eateries, crafts and galleries to discover. Locally you will find a host of walks, hikes, biking, fishing and kayaking.

A 35 minute drive away is the coastal resort of Tenby, surrounded by medieval walls built to fortify the town and are still in place to this very day, complete with arches into the town leading to cobbled streets and the beautiful harbour. The beach has won numerous awards with golden sand and turquoise waters, ideal for sunbathing, swimming, fishing and kayaking. Beach 9 miles. Shop 3½ miles, pub 300 yards and restaurant 3 miles.

There is open water in the property grounds.

Castle Farm cottage is in the most wonderful position.
Castle Farm cottage is in the most wonderful position. If you want views and peace then this is the place. A good base for exploring Pembrokeshire. The cottage was spacious and we loved the way this old farm building had been renovated. The owners were helpful and friendly and we were very grateful for the Welsh cakes. We are certainly planning to return.
