About this property

Studio flat in the Cotswolds for holiday or work. 5 mins drive to Diddly Squat

Newly decorated, studio annexe flat. Sleeps 1 comfortably 2 at a push. It contains a comfortable double bed. The mattress is brand new, the fridge is new and modern with ice box. Cooking facilities in kitchenette.

No smoking whatsoever is permitted anywhere around the property. If you smoke please do not book this property. There is one parking space for a car. If you are bringing anything larger than a car please get in touch before your arrival and we shall have to jiggle vehicles around.
Bedroom area is 11.5 ft x 10 ft approximately.
The flat contains everything you need for a holiday or a comfortable stay in the Cotswolds.
Property comprises of bedroom, kitchenette, and en suite shower with your own private entrance. You can come and go as you please. It’s all newly painted and decorated. It is in a good location a short walk down to Chipping Norton. A place to put your walking boots or bike for touring this beautiful area. See reviews left.
There is a fully equipped kitchenette with fridge, white microwave and toaster etc. Modern portable induction hob which is stored in the cupboard.
Newly fitted modern shower is for your private use only.
Everything is spotlessly clean. There is now a folding table that can be used for dining or as a desk at which to study. There is a tablecloth too. If you need a second chair please ask.
The landlord lives next door and will be on hand to greet you or answer any questions. However we now have the option of key safe entry.
The area is hilly so please bear that in mind.It makes a great base to visit Diddly Squat, Bourton on the Water, Stow on the Wold, Blenheim Palace or any of the other Cotswold attractions.
Please note. During the months of June July August and September the central heating system is closed down. Heating will go on 1 st October if outside temperature is below 16 degrees.
The unit comprises of bedroom, kitchenette and shower room.it isnt huge. However many travellers find it more than adequate. Please look after the key.and return it back to the key safe on your departure or post it through owners letterbox next door., if you lose it it’s a £45 charge to have the lock changed.

Remote village location, although an Aldi is a short drive.,Modern, compact studio apartment. Very clean. Attentive host Li. Convenient on street parking. Adequate facilities for a short stay. The lack of a TV was something I hadn’t understood but this would not have stopped me booking. Comfortable bed.

Thank you for leaving a review. I aim for 5/5 EVERY time. I am uncertain where I lost a star with your review as you marked it 4/5. You have written :- It was very clean Modern Comfortable bed You had everything you needed. Im at a loss. Surely this should be 5/5. Most guests bring a laptop or iPad/tablet and use the excellent fast speed WiFi that I provide. That is the modern way. You also mentioned that your misunderstanding of no actual tv set would not have stopped you booking. I advised we get one car per hour down my road. It is in a village. It is mentioned clearly. So I really don’t know what I could have done to achieve 5/5. It’s a mystery to me.

The room is an annex attached to a property. With its own entrance and located on a quite road. The room was small ideal for 1 or 2 people and run by a charming host. Room features a shower and toilet. The kitchenette comprises of a sink, fridge and microwave. Clean room and an ideal place to stay for Cotswolds adventures. Chipping Norton is close by for shops, pubs and eateries.

Cozy and had everything you would need and a helpful host

Host was amazing and responded to messages with questions leading up to our stay and checked in to make sure we were good and had everything we need. The property is perfect for one or two people using as a base, it had a microwave and fridge meaning we could make food as well as a plug in table top hob. Thank you for having us stay!!

Lovely place for exploring the Cotswolds

Ideal for one person. I wanted somewhere as a base to walk in the Cotswolds (it’s 30 minutes walk from the Rollright Stones), and this was perfect.Clean and with all you need for a short break.

The host was friendly and offered to help if we needed anything including local information. It was really clean and tidy, very comfortable bed. Only down side was a lack of table or drop down flap to eat off of.

I am abhorrent of smoking and will not allow smoking in my beautiful studio flat. It’s not ok if you smoke outside.
If you are a recycler like me then Im happy to point out what goes in which bin etc.

Why they chose this property

The location.
Easy reach of all Cotswolds villages but also close to a town for shopping.
Supermarkets include Marks and Spencer’s, Sainsbury’s, Aldi, and a great cooperative store that stocks all locally produced products such as cheeses, beer, bread, and much more. Lots of farm shops are nearby as is Daylesford Organics, Soho Farmhouse, Diddly Squat Farm Shop and pub owned by Jeremy Clarkson and Chipping Norton Theatre Diddly Squat shop isn’t very big.
One weekend a month my grandchildren come to stay. If the laughter of children playing which may or may not be heard offends, please let me know and you can book on one of the 40 weekends they aren’t here. Im adding this comment because a guest was offended by their laughter. 🤷🏻‍♀️

What makes this property unique

You can come and go as you please as you have your own private front door
It’s a safe quiet area. We hardly see a car all day.
The studio flat is attached to the main house. Different entry doors. It’s well lit if you come in after dark.
The flat is well kitted out. It’s not huge but when people come to the beautiful Cotswolds it isn’t to stay in bed all day. Most guests leave for the day at 7 am to see as much as they possibly can.
