With hardwood floors, a modern kitchen, and sparkling bathrooms, the inside of this house is a breath of fresh air while the outside keeps to the time-honored feel of the neighborhood.

The home opens up to a living area with an HD flat-screen Smart TV with Amazon firestick, providing access to Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, and other streaming channels. The open floor plan leads into the dining area and the gorgeous kitchen, with new appliances and granite countertops with plenty of space for cooking and entertaining. The master bedroom features a king-sized bed and ensuite bathroom with shower. The second bedroom houses a grand wooden desk for work space and a twin-sized day bed with twin trundle. The third bedroom has a queen-sized bed. There is a full bathroom in the hall with a tub/shower. Thank you for the amazing service. We came all the way from New Zealand and stayed for 7 weeks, we were so grateful for the groceries you picked up for us when we arrived too. Thank you for making our stay nice and relaxing.

Serious Allergy Issues

Prior to reserving the house, I explained to the owner that we have serious allergy problems with animal dander. The owner reassured me that animals were not allowed nor have animals been in the house. Within an hour of arriving, both me and my son had reactions. I had to sleep in the car due to serious allergy reaction. We immediately notified the owner of the situation and checked out. We were again told that there hasn’t been any animals in the house and that “the Dallas area is an especially bad place for people with allergies“. Further we were told that there is a “no refund policy”. Beware of this house if you have allergies. Not only with animal dander, but also with mildew. I only have dander allergies so for her to blame “Dallas” was convenient for her to grasp. I am not allergic to Dallas, just animal dander.

Lovely home!

The Holly House was perfect for our stay. It is tucked away in a fairly quiet neighborhood but very close to the Historic Downtown area. We enjoyed walking downtown with the shops and dining. The home was clean and nicely decorated, very welcoming. It had plenty of towels and the kitchen was well appointed - one of the best supplied kitchens I have seen! The owner was also accommodating for us with an early check in and with an issue of a listing discrepancy. The only draw back was the means of acquiring credit card information to hold for taxes and damages. However she worked with us to come up with a solution we were all okay with.

Great location, beautiful home

We loved being just a few blocks from downtown restaurants and shopping. It was a quiet area. The inside off the house as beautiful. It was roomy and had everything you could think of and more. Our grown children live in mckinney so we will return to the holly house many times. I highly recommend it. The property managers were friendly and responsive.

Great location in Downtown McKinney

This was a perfect home for 4 adults and 2 kids. Very clean and had nice touches throughout the home. The owner and property manager were very responsive to a water shutoff issue, that was not their fault, and it was fixed on a Sunday within hours. I would highly recommend staying here.

Great location

Our stay was a family get together with multiple generations and this was the perfect place. Easily walkable to the square for dinner, shopping, or to watch the game and have a few drinks at the Pub or the Yard (which is only about a block away ) Our young adult children could all enjoy themselves having drinks and not need to worry about them driving home. The house had a good set up with everuthing we needed to cook there, which we did for several meals, and thoughtfully provided starters of coffee, dish soap, trash bags etc. All in all it was great for our group and we would definitely stay again.

Inside was fantastic aside from a leak under the sink. Outside was not appealing.

Great house, but in a shady neighborhood. It appears that the neighborhood is trying to revitalize; however, felt out of place and a little unsafe when coming in later at night. We left 2 nights early.

Lovely home

Lovely, spacious home, walking distance from the heart of downtown McKinney. The surrounding area is undergoing a lot of renovation, but it did not interfere with our stay.

Decent house close to downtown

Rent this house for its tidiness & location on a side street/alley near downtown McKinney, otherwise it's rather indistinct & generic for such a trendy, cute town. The photos accurately depict the place--clean & sparsely furnished, nothing special. LOUD music next door the first night, but that's the risk of staying in real neighborhoods with real neighbors.

Absolutely outstanding!

Carolyn and company are fantastic people! We had a great time at this property. We loved how close it was to downtown McKinney! The Butcher board restaurant just a few blocks away was delicious. There's also a pub right next to it that has a great atmosphere! Any time I am in town I will always call Carolyn first for our lodging!

This is definitely a city property - so close to the busy downtown McKinney area that it's only a short 3 block walk! On a Saturday evening, you may see and hear downtown activities - people coming and going, live music, and neighborhood activity. With 2 neighborhood churches, you may even hear the glad sounds of church singing! McKinney is a friendly, old-fashioned town with great shopping, dining, and festivals. Welcome!
