We had a blast! The house was more than expected! Perfect amount of space if your there the get out on the water or be outside most of your trip, it’s also perfect for a day or night in if that’s what your wanting! The view from the living area windows is awesome! The deck is spacious the dock is the perfect spot to fish a little and see the gators at night! If you have a boat it’s the perfect area to get your swap experience itched for sure!!
I will say the lakes are rough if you don’t know the nature of the environment 😅 BUT the house it’s self and the canal it’s on are above and beyond!
The coolest part was the fact you have to ride the golf cart to and from the house that really was a neat surprise perfect from actually seeing the scenery!
We will be back! Thank you Marcus!
DO NOT STAY! Extremely Unsafe and Unsanitary StayI planned this family Thanksgiving trip for over a year and a half, and this cabin completely ruined our holiday. The property was unsafe, dirty, and absolutely not suitable for guests. Here’s what we experienced:• The cabin was dirty on arrival and had bugs throughout.• A horrible, foul smell came from the bathroom.• The front door didn’t even close or latch properly—major safety issue.• No working fire alarm, which is unacceptable.• The heat barely worked• One closet was stuffed like a hoarder’s closet—cluttered and unmaintained.• The golf cart provided was extremely old, run-down, and had no lights but was provide some velcro lights which didn’t work very well, which is dangerous at night.• The power went out just from plugging in a basic appliance. We needed up leaving due to the conditions, and we ended up leaving as well. This was by far the worst VRBO experience I’ve ever had.If you are considering staying here: DO NOT stay. No family should have to deal with conditions like this. I will be requesting a full refund.
We enjoyed our stay. It's a quiet little house on the water away from everything. If your looking to getting away from civilization this is the place for you.

Enjoyable property, but disappointing experience.
The property was very nice. The overall experience, however, was disappointing. When booking the property I scheduled for the wrong days. When realizing this, through the VRBO site the change in dates was confirmed. When we arrived at the property to check in, Marcus said that he was unaware of the change.
An additional disappointment is the fact that we were unaware that the property was inaccessible by car. We spent 45 minutes driving around looking for the property we’d be staying, not realizing we would have to take a golfcart to get to the cabin.
Once we were in the cabin, while the cabin was quaint, we were disappointed about the fact that the lights wouldn’t come on and the bedroom tv didn’t work. What’s more, one of the floor vents, which was hidden under a rug, was broken. My wife had tripped because of this and, despite making Marcus aware of it, the vent wasn’t fixed during our stay.
The final disappointment is that the property as listed on VRBO didn’t explicitly say that no Wi-Fi was available. As such, I wasn’t able to access my worksite remotely. Had I been aware of this, I never would have made the reservation in the first place because I was on call during our stay.
We have plans if taking our grandkids to a cabin for a similar stay. Unfortunately, due to our overall experience at this site we will not make future reservations at this location.

Jonathan did not read before booking!! It states that you have to take a gulf cart to the cabin and also no WiFi.
Nice property with everything you need. Owner is very responsive and helpful. May not be perfect for everyone’s style but worked just fine for our family. Comfortable beds and clean linens. Two bathrooms with plenty of supplies in case you forgot something. Go kart ride required to get back to the property. Cute lane with friendly neighbors. Take extra time to get to where you need.

Awful
Check in process was confusing.
Unit was not clean. Left over food in fridge junked up things in every corner.
Most of the light bulbs were out. Door was warped and hard to lock. I could go on and on. Don’t stay here!!!!

Guest was not pleased with accommodations I refund the guest there money! I did remind the guest that this was the swamp and not the Ritz!
Marcus was great about checking on us and making sure we had everything we needed. This is my 2nd time staying here and will definitely be back. It's so relaxing and even though you are close to shopping and dining you feel like you're on an island away from everything else. Love this place so much!

A nice weekend getaway
The house appears as it does in the pictures. The instructions on how to get to the house were a bit vague but the owner was quick to respond to questions. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

Somewhat disappointed
Run down but clean. You do use a golf cart to get to the place which is an interesting experience. Asked for check in info and he said he would send it the day before arrival but he didn’t . So I had to send a message the day of arrival asking about how to get keys to the place. When I would send a question to him I would get a very very short and sometimes unclear answer. The bedrooms and bathroom and kitchen are very small for 4 adults. The gas grill was in very bad shape and we weren’t able to use it. Nice view from place. Thankfully we got there when it was daylight because he did not give us directions on where to park and it was very hard to find out which golf cart was his that had the key also to our place. So it would have been impossible to figure out in the dark. So owner has very poor communication skills. Outdoor furniture is very dirty.
This not at all we could expect. heavy charge for cleaning ? It was dirty even the dishes we had to wash before using them. The pictures do not represent the place at all. I will not go over all the details. Just half if a paper towel roll tells you the care it has been put to it. I wish I could say something positive but beside the fun golf cart ride to the cabin, it is a big rip off.
We stayed here last summer for a week, so we knew what to expect. Had a great 3 day stay during the week when boat traffic was minimal. Had our boat in the water and fished in the mornings and late evening. No problems with golf cart and the owner easy to communicate with.

My third stay on Three Rivers Island and each time, my cabin was nicer. This was the best. There's a foosball table coffee table :D

Disappointing
Has the potential to be an easy, relaxing place to stay, but fell short. Lack of instructions, readiness & communication from owner left me making beds upon our arrival, then guessing & trying to figure out how to use things. First the golf cart came with no instructions or lights. Driving after dark at 7 pm became dangerous getting to & fro the parking lot. No porch light was on & we couldn’t find the right cabin because the house numbers weren’t able to be seen. No instructions were left to operate the tv, DVD player, or thermostat for the heat. We froze during the night twice & couldnt find any extra blankets for beds. The main lights inside were sketchy, sometimes flickered on, sometimes not. The back bedroom shower had no cold water so all of us had to share one. The back bedroom toilet was too narrow (wedged between walls) for larger adults to use so we all shared one. The cabin had no flashlights, no tarp or shelter for the golf cart when raining & no umbrellas were available. The owner told us to use garbage bags to sit on the wet seats of the golf cart, but we couldn’t find any to use. Ended up buying a lantern & flashlight for the golf cart, but didn’t get reimbursed for my expenses when the owner said he would. Lastly, it was disappointing that no recommendations were available to get a bite to eat, buy groceries, etc...We arrived in the evening as told to the owner, but I felt like he wasn’t prepared for us & wasn’t very helpful. On the plus side, we enjoyed the screen porch, dock to fish from, & view from the sitting room. Minor improvements & readiness would’ve made this a relaxing vacation.

Nice rustic little cabin.
Stayed for Christmas while visiting relatives near Prairieville. Just what we needed. Owner was super nice and very helpful. I may have missed it somewhere in the description, but the property is only accessible by the golf cart that is provided. We still had lots of fun making trips to and from the cabin over nice bridges and a concrete path. Lots to see and Everyone enjoyed the adventure. Would stay again.

Lovely, panoramic view of the water!
As described, camp is cozy but very comfortable! Nice sized screen porch, outside covered patio and uncovered deck. Had issues with the golf cart but owner was very helpful to get things resolved. We would definitely stay here again.
