Maison Lennox is a typical village stone house, originally built in 1865. Extensively renovated, it is right in the middle of the friendly village of Mâcot La Plagne with fantastic mountain views on all sides.
The luxurious lower ground floor apartment features original vaulted ceilings in all rooms and a 'duck your head' period entrance. With parking for cars and safe storage for bikes and skis, Maison Lennox is ideally located to make the most of year-round holidays in the Alps.
For couples or smaller groups up to 4 people, the staircase between the one-bedroom apartment and the main house is closed off and the lower ground floor apartment is self-contained.
Maison Lennox is right in the hub of all the Alps has to offer both in summer and winter, including the Tour de France. Mâcot, a pretty alpine valley village, offers a church with traditional functioning bell tower as well as the convenience of 2 bars, a restaurant, boulangerie and small supermarket.
Winter: the Paradiski resorts of La Plagne, Montalbert and Montchavin are within 15 minutes' drive, with skiing for all abilities. Les Arcs can be reached either by the Vanoise Express cable car or by driving 12km to Bourg St Maurice for the funiculaire. For non-skiers, we are close to walking/snow-shoeing trails and ski de fond tracks.
Summer: Maison Lennox is surrounded by options for road and mountain biking, running, walking, kayaking, canoeing, white water rafting, fabulous walks and via ferrata. It is a great paragliding area for both learners and those with more experience. There is also a small swimming lake with picnic area, restaurant and lots of activities for children just 5 minutes away and 3 outdoor swimming pools within a 15-minute drive.
Local summer events include the Tour de France passing directly by the house, music festivals, firework displays, local markets and much more. Day trips to Italy, 90 minutes away, are possible in the summer through the Col de Petit St Bernard.
