Family Vacation

The cabin was easy to find and in a great location. We came to do a celebration of life and had a service at the Island Park cemetery. We had 10 adults and a baby stay at the cabin and we all felt we had plenty of room. We loved having two kitchens and also some separation time when needed. We used the bbq and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. I also forgot seasoning and there was some in the cupboard. It was great being able to have space for us all to be together. The owner was also super responsive to questions I had before arriving and made had a seamless check in/check out process. We’ll be back for sure!!

Gorgeous Setting for our family vacation!!!

Having a duplex was perfect for our family from NY and TN. Each family had their own space, but the houses were large enough to be able to eat and hang out together. It was 20-30 minutes from the Yellowstone gate, so very convenient to visit the park. Steve, the owner, was very responsive to emails/texts. The full bath downstairs is small but very handy to have. The views from front and back of the house were amazing!!! House was stocked with all the necessities - although we were glad our family was next-door as we had to hunt for bowls or large pots a couple times! The only thing I would suggest is that there would be a couple more outside garbage cans as they were full when we arrived and we had to really stuff the bags in....Otherwise, it was a wonderful stay!!! Thank you for sharing your house with us!!

Great location, great vacation!

The house was just as promised in the listing; everything was clean and clear. The beds were comfy, but I will say that it's a good thing there were fans in each room! The ceiling fans in the 'master' bedroom didn't really do much for us in the way of circulation, but we borrowed a box fan from one of the other people in our group as they didn't need it, and it worked nicely. The location was great - close to the West entrance of Yellowstone, and not too far from the convenience store or gas station. The surroundings were beautiful - waking up to the mountains and lake were so peaceful and beautiful. Unfortunately, we hit the time of the wildfires in Idaho, and so had a smoky haze which partially obscured the distance views, but it was lovely nonetheless. Steve was great in communicating with me via text! All in all, a great place to stay and enjoy the beauty of nature in the 'wild' - highly recommend to stay and would definitely use it again if I'm in the area!!

Family Gathering

Good location, roomy, many amenities, clean & comfortable beds. Units need maintenance. Windows dirty, flys & cobwebs on window sills, bath mat had been used by other patrons. Grimy furniture - glass top table in bedroom had not been cleaned in weeks, outdoor furniture very dirty. We were charged a “hefty” cleaning fee and the units were not what we considered as being clean when we arrived.

Bearadise is Paradise!

We loved our vacation at Bearadise! The house was spacious and easily accommodated our large group of 12! The view was spectacular and the location was perfect for our visit to Yellowstone - only 20 minutes from the West Entrance! The kitchen had everything we needed and the rooms were comfortable. The owners were very responsive - check-in was a breeze. We highly recommend this vacation rental - wish we could have stayed longer!

Wild West Vacation

A splendidly, clean and cozy home for vacation only minutes from the town of West Yellowstone, a gateway to the Park. The scenic views of Henry's Lake, the fishing and the nearby recreation is the best! We had no trouble with our stay here for the second year in a row we will come back again and do recommend this VRBO to others.

Wonderful home away from home nearby Yellowstone Park!

We love this place very much on our recent trip to Yellowstone and the Grand Teton National Parks. It make you really feel like home. Steve is friendly and his place is very well maintained, cozy within reach of West Yellowstone. It is a perfect home base for your vacation trip to the parks and nearby areas. We definitely would stay here again on our next trip.

The place was as described

This site was as described, beautiful location at the base of mountains. Everything was clean and worked properly. The site manager's site guide binder, was most helpful. It includes suggestions of where to eat and local activities. One night at the suggested ,Wild West Pizzeria, the food was excellent !! Didn't think pizza out there could compare to Chicago Pizza, but it most defiantly did. We went fishing on Lake Hebgen and caught a couple Trout, which I was able to smoke them on the provided charcoal grill. Nice to have both gas and charcoal grills available to use. We visited Yellowstone National park and totally amazed at the sites there ! Can't wait to go back ! So much to see and a short drive from this rental. I will recommend this place to friends and family !!!

More than just your COMFORTABLE HOME ...

This rental property has everything you would want in your own home, charming! From the property on a clear day you can view the mountains of the Grand Tetons and you can see across the highway, people fishing from their boats on Henry's Lake. There is plenty of room on the property to park and turn around your own boat/trailer. We give the listing description, cleanliness, maintenance, customer service all a thumbs up. We have recommended this property to friends/family, also have made reservations to return. We spent many days catching not fishing the beautiful trout that can be found in Lake Hebgen, only a few miles from this property. Another close attraction is West Yellowstone a nearby town, the bars/restaurants employ friendly people, have good food at reasonable prices, and cold beer too! The town, a gateway to Yellowstone, very convenient. During our travels we saw plenty of wildlife; elk, bison and a mother grizzly with her cub.

The home was perfect for our group. two homes in one!

Our family gathered there from all over and it was great with renting both sides of the home. 6 bedroom s and 4 baths worked out great. Beautiful views and great grills and fire pit to gather around. 20 miles from the park entrance but we enjoyed the drive.

Great Location, lovely scenery, could have been cleaner

After the first night at the property my adult kids informed me there were bed bugs in the beds and numerous mouse droppings under the beds. My daughter texted the owner multiple pictures because he said we had brought them in. He soon changed his mind and sent an exterminator and cleaning people out to take care of the problem. There were 6 bedrooms that had linens that needed to be washed and dried. The cleaning people crammed so much into the washers and dryers that the mattress pads didn't get dry. One of the pads was so thick I refused to put it in the washer as the cleaning person asked me too. I told her it was too heavy, but she told me to just push it in. We draped the mattress pads over anything we could to get them dry. The cleaning people didn't get done in the time they had so asked us to finish washing and drying the linens which we did. Only 2 beds were remade so we had to remake the rest of the beds without the mattress protectors which were still wet. The owner said he would comp us a days rental which we were pleased with and thought was very generous. Upon arriving home the promised check didn't arrive and we e-mailed the owner. He said we had too much trash (which we did) and the rentals took extra cleaning. I assume he was referring to the mattress pads which we didn't put back on the beds. I know the units were clean as we followed the directions left on the refrigerator. I personally tossed out a carton of moldy potato salad from the refrigerator, so I doubt the usual cleaner normally cleans the frig. When we got the check it was for 5/8 of the amount he said he would reimburse us. I don't know if he usually keeps the credit card from other visitors and charges them extra when he thinks it's appropriate but if so, that's pretty scary. The location of the unit was great and the size of the 2 units together was perfect for our family, but the cleanliness concerns were so great, our stay was disappointing.

Overall, great view and great location, close proximity to Yellowstone park

kitchen was well stocked, great views of Henry lake. There were no soaps, bodywash and shampoo stocked in the bathroom, towels did not look fresh. Had to run to store in 10 miles after a long drive to stock them for our stay.

The best facility for our family reunion!

Bearadise was our central headquarters for a 13-member family reunion/educational/nature experience and it worked out so well. Highlights (in no order): 1. clean, rustic décor. 2. outstanding nature setting - Henry's Lake to the front, mountain meadow in the back. We watched fog lift off the lake in the mornings, rain storm rolling down the mountains, setting sun highlighting the back green meadows. We scouted a fishing spot for the kiddos close by. 3. enough beds for all of us including a port-a-crib for the 1 year old. 4. adequately stocked kitchen. We cooked most meals right there---birthday cake, tacos, chicken---and we had all the equipment we needed, including a gas bbq for the brats and hamburgers. 5. dark night sky. Need I say more about star watching! 6. proximity to west entrance of Yellowstone. We were about 20 minutes from Yellowstone Park's west gate and the trip there was pleasant, scenic, easy, historic. 7. the house is actually 2 duplexes which worked out just fine. One side was our cooking and gathering center and handled all of us just cozy fine while sleeping 1/2 of us. The other side worked great for sleeping for the other 1/2 and for one rainy night kids' movie time while the adults played games. 8. explicit directions and communication with host. 9. Everyone agreed "our cabin" was a great fit for our needs.

Awesome location and great accommodations!

Had a fantastic stay at Henry's Lake & Mountains. We rented both units for a group of 10 people and was perfect for our group size. Location is great, about 30 minutes to West Yellowstone. The amenities were great, sufficient for cooking lots of meals, soap, towels, etc are all available. I would recommend bringing your own shampoo/conditioner and lotion since the ones provided are small hotel bottles. Rooms are a good size but beds are very lumpy and soft. The rooms could use a bit more cleaning but overall a good stay.

Good place but seems kind of old

This was a nice place with a lot of space to fit 15 people. We took my parents to Yellowstone for the first time and was fortunate to book this place in time. We learned a few things when we got there that wasn't in the notes: the two front doors didn't lock after you unlocked it, so you had to use the key to lock the doors for the night. There was no air conditioning and one of the bedrooms in unit B was really stuffy because that window couldn't open. Some of the large appliances like the ovens are older models so be careful about accidently flipping the cleaning latch on. It locked the oven on us! But overall, the place was over stocked with ingredients and supplies. We forgot to take our olive oil :( so it's there for usage. We barely spent time in the cabin because we were only there to sleep since we were out at Yellowstone every day. We couldn't find the trash dumpster in Island Park and wished there was a map showing where it was.

COZY CABIN WITH A TERRIFIC VIEW!

We enjoyed the cabin and the scenery surrounding the area. Other activities were within reasonable driving distance such as Yellowstone and Mesa Falls. We also enjoyed our Barker-Ewing float trip on the Snake River and horseback riding at Eagle Ridge Ranch. It was a wonderful, relaxing vacation. Tammy from Charlotte, NC

Great size for a large family!

We had 11 people and rented both sides of the duplex. It was great because we had 6 bedrooms, 4 full bathrooms and 2 half baths so everyone was able to spread out. The view of Henry's Lake with the mountains in the background was spectacular!! It's also very close to the West Yellowstone entrance. We had a great time!

Quiet and peaceful cabin surrounded by mountains and beautiful lake.

Overall, my experience was great. This cabin was in a quiet location and a quick 15 minute drive to Yellowstone. The cabin was very clean and had plenty of supplies to get us going. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because the wifi was not working during our stay. However, I would stay here again.
