Loved this house. Kitchen has everything and then some and we rented a boat across the street at Dewitt's. The kids loved it. We also played games outside and roasted smores.
We enjoyed our stay at the Farmhouse.
It was very clean and the rooms were nice and large. We were a party of 8 and had lots of room.
Kitchen was nicely supplied with dishes silver ware pot and pans and glasses.
Our family loved this property! It was so comfortable and clean with a large outdoor space. It had a nice kitchen for food prep. The firepit outside was so fun. Lots of room for games inside and out. We loved that it was close to all the sights and yet very private. I would definitely stay here again.
Excellent location. Close to water and towns. Great property we had kids who ran out their energy for days! Lots of room for bag toss, badminton, kiddie pool. Great fire pit. Decor so cute. Lots of space. Sad to leave!
The pictures don't even compare to how great this farmhouse is. You could spend your whole time here out in the yard, on the porch, in the kitchen.. So many great open spaces. It is walking distance to The Dockside and the little public access beach. We have the best time! Working with Stephanie and Paradise Properties was a breeze and she was very welcoming. Cant wait to come back here soon!

Love this historic farm house!
We stayed here with 2 other families, 6 kids under 6, and we had a blast! We puzzled, made bonfires, went on hikes, sledding and ventured into Traverse City. Luckily we got about 8 inches of snow during our stay so it made it fun to play in the yard.
Everything was provided and we really appreciated the towels, dishes, soap etc. This cute farm house felt like a home away from home!

So Glad you loved the house! We're so excited you had fun, you're always welcome to come back to your "home away from home!"
We are a family with 7 adults. We were all very comfortable in the space. The front porch was a great place to hang out. The huge yard worked out wonderfully for yard games. We all fit with room to spare around the dining table. Loved the little extra touches of soaps, foil, spices, extra tooth brushes. Had everything we needed
Beautiful house & property. Plenty of room for cars & trailers. We had five couples & two boats with more than ample parking. The house had more than plenty of room for ten people & the wrap around porch was great for sitting when the rain came.
This property is "pure Michigan." Having never traveled to the state, we quickly understood how fortunate we were to have our request accepted. Everything is well-maintained, thoughtfully decorated, and truly accommodates the number of guests permitted. Its seclusion provides all of the privacy your group would expect from an estate-styled stay. There are a myriad of unique gathering spots you and your group can create memories, closely or collectively. The outdoor spaces are serene, but you can always seek a respite from the weather in the home's grand, inviting rooms. Alden is only a few minutes away. The town is small and quaint, yet it is abundant with leisurely activities and necessaries.
Very clean, plenty of space, well maintained older farmhouse. 3 min walk to torch lake and clam lake, 11 minute drive to towns of Bellaire and central lake. Large yard with fire pit and tree swing, great for the kids to play in. Kitchen has everything you need and there is a grill and a huge wrap around porch. You can tell the owners take pride in this home and it is a great rental option for multiple families. Very impressed with this house and plan to rent it again in the future. The only thing we didn’t realize was that there is no tub for the babies, but the kitchen sink is huge and that worked just fine. 5 stars!!!!!
My family had a wonderful time. The house was very unique and was ckean and comfortable. We were close to Mackinac Island, Traverse City and rented a pontoon. Highly recommend for all age groups.
Great location for a winter trip. Lots of space in the house for games and gathering. The kitchen is well set up and provisioned to take care of a good sized group. Interent/tv connection isn't strong, but this is a great place for an up north retreat.

Farmhouse needs some works and better cleaning service
I'm not satisfied about this rent.
The patio was very dirty at the arrival and I had to clean it by myself.
There was no natural gas for the BBQ outside, both gas tank were empty.
The water tasted very bad (iron taste) and it was uncomfortable to take showers or brush your teeth.
Hot water stopped working at the beginning of day 2. 8 people including two kids without hot water for one third of the vacation. Tried to call Paradise Properties USA in charge for the rent but nobody answered my calls.
A lot of dirt in the back of the house probably there since months/years? Seems that how is in charge of the cleaning of this property doesn't care of it. I'm wondering if Paradise Properties USA did recently a visit to the place to see the overall status of it.
I expected lot more. This house requires lots of maintenance.

We are sorry you were dissatisfied with your stay.
I do not understand why you couldn't get a hold of us either. Our office phone's voicemail has an after hour emergency number listed on it. As well as the paper work we went over here in our office, lists 2 cell phone numbers that are 24/7. Neither of those phones had a missed call or voicemail on them. We answer our phones 24 hours a day.
I wanted to address the other issues you had as well.
1) The patio was blown off by the lawn guy. But, we did have a rain storm prior to your arrival. Being that it is not covered, I am sure there could have been leaves on the brick patio.
2) I did go to the house along with the maintenace man on Monday after we received your email. The spare propane tank was full. The tank on the grill was at least half full? The maintenance man got the grilled started right away. maybe the vaulve was turned off on the tank? I think we need to leave insturctions on how to start the grill, to make it easier for the renters.
3) Water - All of the houses up here do have well water. If you are used to city or soft water, I am sure it would seem a lot different for you.
4) The water heater was a pretty simple fix. Again, if we would have received your call, we would have taken care of it right away for you.
5) Not sure what you mean by back of the house. Was this inside the house or outside? I wish we would have know about your concerns right away so we could have taken care of them for you so you could have enjoyed your stay.
As you can see from all the reviews on VRBO and our website, they have all been positive.
Thank you,
Jill
Our brother-in-laws and their family stayed here from Minnesota, Wisconsin and Florida. They had a fantastic time, learning about the rich history of the area and this historic home. The house has been updated with the latest necessities but has still retained its unique historical value. The wrap around porch was the favorite hangout for all.
Great experience. Great location for anything you want to do and see in the torch lake/Traverse City area. The property was perfect. We didn’t want to leave!
