Ein wunderbarer Ort zum Ausruhen mit einem fantastischen Ausblick

Das kleines Haus für 2 Personen ist komplett ausgestattet (Küche, einer guten Dusche, einem guten Wlan, TV (wenn man es braucht), Klimaanlage/Heizung, einem großen Kühlschrank und einem guten Bett) und liegt mit 2 anderen, ähnlichen Wohnungen in einer kleinen "Anlage" - die einzelnen Einheiten sind baulich geschickt von einander getrennt - , die Palmen-umsäumt ist. Auf dem Gelände steht auch ein großer Rohbau - ein Projekt für die nächsten Jahre -, der uns aber nicht weiter gestört hat. Wir haben in der hinteren Wohneinheit gewohnt und hatten den fantastischen Blick auf den Etna. Dort haben wir stundenlang gesessen, gelesen , gegessen und immer wieder auf den Berg gestarrt. Die Anfahrt zum Haus führt über ca 1km, vorbei an einer Rinderzucht und über 2 Höfe. Dies überrascht zu Beginn, war uns aber ab dem 2. Tag ein schöner Weg "nach Hause". Das Gelände ist eingezäunt und mit einem eisernen Tor verschlossen. Vom Gelände aus sieht man auch das Meer, kann aber nicht auf direktem Weg dorthingelangen. Der einzige Zugang ist die Zufahrtsstrasse, die in die Landstrasse Catania-Messina mündet. Von dort sind es 5 - 10 Min zum Meer (S. Marco oder Marina di Cottone). Ein Auto ist zwingend notwendig. Andrea ist ein wirklicher Gastgeber, der sofort hilft und mit dem wir alles unkompliziert regeln konnten.

Die Villa del Nespolo ist abgelegen und ruhig, mitten in Orangenfeldern. Andrea ist hilfsbereit und sehr nett. Es war alles unkompliziert.

Etna and sea views

A good base from which to explore this lovely part of Sicily. Andrea very friendly and helpful with a very good command of English! A lovely quiet spot with magnificent views of Etna and the sea. Very comfy bed and the shower was great!! The amount of kitchen equipment was a little basic-could have done with more crockery for mixing and for cooking in the oven and maybe some pictures on the walls to make it more homely? The surroundings were lovely with citrus and palm trees and crops in the fields. Mosquitoes abound so take some mosi-guard with you! Thank-you Andrea for your hospitality.

Rural peace & quiet with Etna and sea views

A small apartment in a very quiet part of Fiumfreddo. An excellent base for exploring this lovely part of Sicily with Etna in all her beauty towering over us! Surrounded by greenery and fields of crops and with a sitting out area. Very comfy bed and amazing shower! Andrea a very friendly and helpful host with a good command of English. We did find however that the amenities in the apartment were very basic and felt that it would be improved with the provision of a little more crockery in the kitchen for example? There were no bowls for mixing and no casserole dish or baking tray. A little tourist information would also have been useful, particularly with recommendations of good local restaurants. Maybe a picture or two on the walls to make it a bit more homely. Having said all that we really enjoyed our stay and the time went too quickly. Thank-you Andrea for you hospitality!
