My family of five had a wonderful stay at the hope. There was plod space for everyone, the home as clean, nice patio area and having a washer and dryer was a huge help.

We had a truly excellent experience and stay here. The hosts were responsive, friendly, welcoming and accommodating. The location was perfect, and the apartment was lovely. The amenities were great for our needs and fit our family of 5 perfectly.

We were so happy with this beautiful apartment which is located in a great neighborhood with cozy coffee shops and restaurants all within walking distance. Our host Heike is so kind and very professional. Heike provided us with tips on best restaurants, etc., and went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable and had all that we needed during our stay.The apt is spacious with beautiful architecture - high ceilings and magnificent doors. There are 3 bedrooms - the master has an en-suite with a walkway onto a fantastic outdoor space which we enjoyed in the evenings.There are 2 smaller bedrooms - 1 with an adjoining bathroom which was great for our daughter who joined us for 2 nights.Beds are all very comfortable and air conditioning works great!!!!!!!The kitchen is fine for breakfast, lunch light snacking - coffee, etc., which worked for us as we ate our main dinners out. If you are looking for a cozy restaurant with phenomenal authentic homemade pastas - Algrano Bistro Tamarit 104 is a short cab ride from the apartment and a must. Thanks for the recommendation Heike!!!!!We do want to add that the compact elevator was a HUGE bonus as we had a couple of heavy suitcases and a few carryon bags. Having the lift was fantastic and easy on our backs In closing, as our daughter is attending grad school in Barcelona - we look forward to our next stay in this wonderful apt. Our new home away from home!Cheers!

I stayed at this property recently with my husband and three adult children. It's a beautiful home in a very chic part of Barcelona. The beds were comfortable, there were plenty of places to sit and a cool outdoor patio for lounging. We didn't cook, but it seemed to be well stocked and we appreciated the coffee maker and washer/dryer. The owner met us for check in and was very nice. My only real complaint was having to pay the extra 30 euros for a late check-in. It wasn't a surprise, but it still seems excessive and I've never had that fee in any other VRBO before. Overall, this was a wonderful place, and I would recommend staying here.

Perfect location

This apartment was a beautiful spot in a perfect location of L'Eixample. Extremely close walking distance to bars, restaurants, and Gaudi houses. The host was lovely and helpful. Would recommend.

Wonderful Stay in Barcelona

Thia unit worked out really well for our family of four (two young children plus parents) visiting Barcelona. The location is central and top-notch (very close to Casa Battlo) with great restaurants in every direction. The unit itself was spacious and quiet with a private deck. Heike was responsive with respect to the few issues that arose during our stay. Would stay again.

Such a charming apartment. If I return to Barcelona, I will absolutely stay there again. PERFECTLY located. Many restaurants / get groceries / shopping is very close. Right in city center, so couldn't be a better location. Very quiet at night. Maybe one block from main road. We were late arriving for our check in time; Heike was very accommodating. She came back right away and let us check in early. Very clean! The fridge and washer / dryer were very appreciated for our long stay. We never stayed home and cooked, but you certainly could. Very well stocked kitchen and an amazing coffee / espresso machine that we enjoyed. Plenty of closet space and is a large very comfortable apartment. Both showers / bathrooms were superb, plenty of hot water. There is a darling patio off of the master.

Amazing apartment one block from the heart of Barcelona

The apartment is even prettier than the pictures. The location was perfect, one block off the main street for shopping, dining and transportation. It was close but also quiet. Everything was just steps away, including a lovely cafe, a little bodega, and many restaurants. Our check-in was prompt and the orientation to the property and amenities was very thorough. We would love to return and stay again.

Beautiful apartment in great location

This apartment is stunning and was very spacious for our family of 4. There are two metro stations close by and a wealth of shops, restaurants, bars and Gaudi sights to see. Bustling and vibrant area, yet the apartment felt quiet and peaceful. The host was extremely helpful, and the process could not have been easier. Would recommend.

Beautiful apartment in a great location!

The apartment is lovely. We had plenty of space for the four of us. The outdoor area is quaint. The location is fantastic, close to all the shopping, restaurants and cafes. It is also close to the Metro so that made going out and exploring other areas of the city easy. Heike was easy to communicate with and friendly. You do have to meet in person to get the key, that is why I gave the check-in process 4 stars. We would stay here again!

Charming Apartment in the Center of L’Eixample

Beautiful 1930’s apartment located in the heart of Eixample. Close walking distance to La Rambla as well as the favorites of Barcelona locals. Property has modern accommodations including a spacious and charming terrace, perfect for summer evenings. This location was amazing, giving our family of four the opportunity to live like locals. Exactly as described and shown in listing. During our stay, we did encounter some construction noise from neighboring residents. The property manager was great to work with once we inquired, but it would have been helpful to know ahead of time. That said, I would still consider this property a rare find.

Great location!

The location is excellent, half a block from Pg. de Gracia and a couple of blocks from some Gaudi masterpieces. Apartment is light and spacious and not cluttered. Heating and air conditioning systems were very effective and silent. The deck is a definite bonus feature - although access to it through the bathroom window is quirky. When we first moved in several things were broken (vacuum cleaner, table lamp, washing machine, tv) but Heike resolved the issues. Downsides: low water pressure, view from living room is not what the photo shows. Overall: great location, good value for money.

Great apartment, annoying communication process

The apartment is in a great location and the photos are totally accurate. The things that annoyed us: 1) The master bathroom has a lot of floor-to-ceiling windows, with no window shades/curtains. It is very uncomfortable to be in your own bathroom but not be able to get dressed or undressed - and there are a ton of hotel rooms and apartments that face the bathroom. So, just be aware. 2) We had to check into the apartment at about 9:30 at night, (our flight didn't land in Barcelona until almost 9pm) so the apartment owner made us pay a $30 fee for the late check in. We got the keys and were let into the apartment with no problems. But, afterwards, I kept getting emails from the owner about our passports. She needed some information from us and wanted to schedule a time to come and see us to get the information. We didn't want to schedule a special time to do paperwork (we were in Barcelona to go out, have fun, see the sights) so after a few back-and-forth emails, i was able to send my passport information via email. THEN, we started getting emails about needing to pay some additional taxes. After more back-and-forth emails, we made arrangements to leave the taxes in the apartment on the counter when we left. But, after we made those plans, the owner stopped by the apartment, unannounced, and when we didn't answer the door right away, she just OPENED THE DOOR AND LET HERSELF IN. It felt like a huge privacy violation.
