Really fabulous apartment in a beautiful historic building. I'll share some things we learned:1) Location was amazing. Easy to walk to the Duomo, restaurants and the bus stop, and a short Uber from the train station (or bus ride, but we were impatient). 2) The apartment is in a emissions-controlled district, which means you can only drive there by registering with the city and paying a fee. *Once this has been registered, you can ignore the do not enter signs! * 3) When we arrived at the gate, we were met by the very helpful sons of the owner. They guided us in, and gave us a comprehensive tour of how everything works in the apartment, as well as directions to restaurants and shops.4) As you can see in the photos, one of the bedrooms is in a loft. This worked great for my 20-something sons; it may not work for very young children or anyone with mobility challenges. It also gets very warm, as the heat from the main room rises.5) The main bedroom (king bed, very comfortable), stays much colder. There are extra blankets in the wardrobe in the living room.6) Everything was impeccably clean. The kitchen well-equipped if you wish to cook. We only made coffee in the provided moki pot. Note the shops close by 20:00-21:00; so don't count on late night groceries.7) The washing machine worked well; no dryer, plan accordingly. In summary, we loved this so much and hope to return in the future.
