Wonderful cottage and area

Laghead is a beautiful cottage in a superb location, although a car is a must there are walks from the doorstep. The cottage is ideal for walking or cycling holidays. We would definitely return

Stunning views in a peaceful retreat

We had a fantastic two weeks staying in Laghead cottage. The views from the house and garden are simply stunning and we were very lucky with the weather allowing us to see for miles and sit in the evening for scenic drinks. Very quiet which suited us and a great base for exploring the area. A strenuous but rewarding cycle in the morning to get the paper in Gatehouse of Fleet (2 and a bit miles down or uphill!). The cottage is very clean and well laid out and the garden perfect for our dog who began and ended each day with patrols of ‘his’ perimeter. A very enjoyable holiday.
