a quaint Okinawan beach-side village. Stepping out of your car, a myriad of
colorful hibiscus flowers, palms, mango trees, and other tropical plants greets
you. Your smiling host Tom welcomes your family and shows you the BBQ
and Hot Tub hut as well as your spacious home for the next few days. A
beautiful secluded beach is just 300m away. Welcome to Island Breeze, rest
and relaxation at its best.

We are both second generation TCKs (Third Culture Kids), though no longer kids. Between the two of us we've lived in Japan, New Zealand, Pakistan, Hong Kong, India and the USA. So how do we answer the question, "Where are you from?" We generally smile back at the person asking this question and say, "Well,....."

We're fluent in English and Japanese and Christine picks up on some Urdu and Hindi if it's spoken around her.

We live on the second floor of Island Breeze and love sharing our round house with others. We look forward to chance to help you explore Okinawa.

Why they chose this property

Our house is located in a quiet Okinawan village of just a couple dozen houses surrounded by lush green hills on one side and the ocean on the other. The quiet surroundings make it easy to hear a variety birds singing.

What makes this property unique

If you're looking for the exciting city life of Okinawa, shopping and nightlife right near your accommodation, Island Breeze IS NOT the place for you. But if you're looking to unwind, relax, have fun with your family and have a spacious place to base yourself while exploring the island, Island Breeze is definitely for you.


3 minute walk to a small beach park.
5 minute drive to Maeda point and the Blue Cave snorkel and dive spot.
5 minute drive to supermarkets, convenience stores and places to eat.
Many water sport tour companies are close by (diving, snorkeling, kayaking, surfing, stand up paddle boarding (SUP), parasailing and more).

Island tours with a car and driver can be arranged if booked in advance.
