We are both second generation TCKs (Third Culture Kids), though no longer kids. Between the two of us we've lived in Japan, New Zealand, Pakistan, Hong Kong, India and the USA. We're fluent in English and Japanese and Christine picks up on some Urdu and Hindi if it's spoken around her.

Our house is located in a quiet Okinawan village of just a couple dozen houses surrounded by lush green hills on one side and the ocean on the other. The quiet surroundings make it easy to hear a variety birds singing.
