A wonderful holiday cottage

My husband and I had a wonderful 3 night stay at the Threshing Barn at the end of May. The accommodation is beautifully presented, very clean and comfortable in lovely surroundings. We were fortunate to have lovely sunny weather, and it was so nice to have a bbq in the quiet, private garden before relaxing in the hot tub. Such a gem of a holiday cottage, that we would definitely return to.

Absolutely wonderful choice for a holiday in Cornwall. The hosts have literally thought of everything for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The kitchen appliances are fantastic quality, the beds are extremely comfortable and the hot tub is divine! Excellent play area for the kids as well. A lovely relaxing stay

We had a lovely stay at East Trenean Farm. The cottage was beautiful and had absolutely everything we could possibly have wanted. The hot tub was lovely, and the robes provided for every guest was such a nice touch! Nothing was too much for Graham and Jane, excellent communication throughout. Beautiful area and lots to do locally! Thanks for a lovely stay!

What an outstanding and delightful holiday home! Graham couldn’t have been more welcoming, and it’s a beautiful area. The Threshing Barn had everything we could have needed as well as being spotlessly clean, spacious and comfortable. It’s also in a great location for exploring Cornwall and popping back to Devon. Local restaurants are plentiful with delicious menus and the local farm shop was fab! We have already looked at dates we can make a return visit! Thank you so much for a fantastic stay (and for the most incredibly beautiful eggs in the welcome basket). We hope to be back soon.

Lovely Accommodation - a home from home

This is our 5th visit to East Trenean Farm and on each visit we have had a fabulous time. The accommodation is perfect with everything you could want. To us it feels like a home from home with great secluded beaches nearby and lovely food in the Copley Arms and great fish and chips from the Coddy Shack. It is a little piece of heaven.

A lovely long weekend with the family

We had a wonderful stay at Threshing Barn. The property was clean, warm, well finished and child-friendly. The beds were comfy and hot tub very enjoyable as the weather turned cooler. Many thanks Graham and Jane

Enjoyable stay

Threshing Barn was very clean and comfortable with everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The view from the open plan longue/diner was beautiful and the garden with hot tub was very private. The only slight downside was the ensuite shower that lacked any power. Although the location was beautiful, a car was needed to go anywhere, even the local farm shop as there are no paths/verges. Overall though an enjoyable week in lovely accommodation in a beautiful part of the world.
Response from VrboOwner on 21 Oct, 2025
So pleased to hear that you enjoyed your stay in the cottage along with the hot tub and our beautiful views. Generally the Cornish Lanes are flanked by Cornish hedges without pathways. Although we do have a couple of public pathways which are within a short distance from the farm. Thank you for your feedback regarding the shower we will check this out to make sure it is working correctly.

Looe and Polperro simply the best

The whole place is just as they portray,no hiding things. A car is a must as it is a good way to the nearest shops and resturants/pubs.The hosts are great and the facilities are great too!!!!
Response from VrboOwner on 26 Jun, 2022
Pleased to hear that all was as you expected and that you enjoyed the facilities. We are a rural location just 3 miles into Looe and 1.7 miles to the pub but the Cornish lanes are narrow, fast and not safe for walkers. There is a bus service (rural!) that passes and trains to Looe but a car is essential for touring.

Beautiful relaxing stay in a luxury barn conversion

Had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Threshing Barn, the property is beautiful and the surrounding grounds are lovely. Having a private hot tub on your door step is really something quite special as well that honestly has to be experienced! Huge thank you to Jane and Graham for our stay. The location is perfect for short drives into Looe, and exploring some of the surrounding beaches. This area of Cornwall is outstanding, and this location is perfect.

Very comfortable stay

We stayed here for a week and had a very comfortable stay. The cottage is beautiful, tastefully decorated and ample space for kids. It’s very clean and has everything one might need. We enjoyed the hot tub which was also kept very clean and at a perfect temperature for summer evenings. It’s well located and we got to explore the area everyday during the stay. Thank you Graham & Jane for your kind hospitality. Priti

A perfect venue for a friends stay in Cornwall

A week in Cornwall for three couples. The Threshing Barn is amazingly appointed, super spacious and everything you could want for a getaway. The hot tub and log burner are definitely highlights. A wonderful welcome pack on arrival with fresh eggs and local produce is the sort of touch that Hosts Graham and Jane make things that little bit special. Well located for a peaceful stay just three miles from Looe, makes exploring the Cornish south coast very accessible. Highly recommended, and a five stars from me.

Stunning Barn Conversion in East Cornwall........we keep coming back

Our third year at East Trenean Farm. The Threshing barn is fitted out to a very high quality. The Barn provides masses of space for 6 adults & you have the bonus of your own secluded private garden area for hot tub & bar b q. Views & location are perfect. You won't find better beaches than Whitsand bay and the picturesque village of Cawsand is a must. I'm not easily impressed but this is our go to location when we visit Cornwall.

Very private hot tub, can enjoy the amazing stars at night. Great location. Easy to get to most places with good A and B roads. Adrenaline quarry is great fun! lovely walks at Seaton, pretty shops at Fowey. Fish and chips 5 mins down the road.

Family holiday

We had a lovely, relaxing stay at East Trenean Farm. The Threshing Barn was all that we could have asked for and more. It made our stay so much more relaxing having the cottage all set to stay with young children aged 2 and 10 months there was everything we could have needed from stair gates to plates and cups and the play area was great with loads of space to run around. Graham and Jane were excellent, we arrived very late and they still came out to greet us. We will definitely be back soon Thanks for a great stay.

Brilliant

We stayed in The Threshing Barn for 4 nights over new year and it’s a really stunning property, like home away from home has everything you need and finished to a very high standard. The hot tub in the garden is absolutely fantastic and we all enjoyed being able to use that. Everything we needed for our two young sons was provided by Jane and Graham free of charge which was great, along with a hamper on arrival full of lovely treats. Can’t recommend highly enough and we will definitely be back.
Response from VrboOwner on 30 May, 2022
It was a pleasure to host your family and we look forward to welcoming you back! So pleased that you had everything you needed and that our all inclusive policy worked well for you. The Threshing Barn has had the wooden floors sanded and vanished recently and the kitchen work tops are being replaced next week. So the barn will be updated further for your return visit.

Amazing

The whole experience was amazing. Contacted to ask if we could check in early as we had a long journey with children and there was no problem. Turned up to the property meeting Jane who was absolutely lovely who showed me around and said if there is anything that we need to let them know. The whole barn was amazing the cleanliness and the views are to die for. Myself and my children and children really enjoyed staying here. They have a little park that the children can also play in which is amazing. We shall be staying again. Even my friends want to go and stay there. I would 100% recommend this property. Lovely weekend get away

Amazing Family Cottage in Looe, Cornwall!!

We stayed at the Threshing Barn cottage in East Trenean Farm for a week and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a family holiday/ stay in Cornwall. The cottage itself is situated in an ideal location for covering most places in Cornwal with a max driving distance of 1.5 hrs to either the west or north Cornwall coast. In particular we enjoyed the private hot tub which was very relaxing to use after a long day visiting places. Also adjacent to the cottage there is a large playing area which is perfect to keep the little ones occupied. I would definitely go back and stay here again in the future. Thanks, Jane and Graham for all your help during our stay. Appreciate it!! Look forward to seeing you again soon.

Lovely Stay in Looe

We just had a wonderful stay at Threshing Barn. What a lovely property, beautifully clean, light and airy! Our children loved the fantastic play equipment and their accommodation. It was incredibly comfortable and it is clear the owners have put great thought into making the stay easy and hassle free; we never found ourselves wishing they had got something in the property. We came as part of an extended family group and the 3 properties we used are perfectly designed around a central courtyard but each separate and distinct which allowed us the opportunity to spend lots of time together as a big group but also to split into our family units and follow some of our own routines as suited us. The farm felt to us to be ideally located with a great balance of rural views and proximity to Looe and afforded the chance to explore Cornwall more widely too. Overall cannot say enough lovely things about our week at Threshing Barn!

A beautiful place to stay!

It was a real pleasure to stay at the Threshing Barn. Beautiful, peaceful situation. Everything was just right and a very good standard. Quality fittings, a wonderful American fridge freezer and great sofas! Graham and Jayne were very pleasant and helpful. The hot tub was clean and lovely! We all slept well on really comfortable beds and the bathrooms were sparkling! It really couldn’t have been better. Well I guess the WiFi could have been better as we didn’t manage to stream a film. It could do with a more robust wireless access point in the Threshing Barn. However, we loved it and we’re planning to book to come again. Electric charger for the car was a bonus! We would absolutely recommend this lovely place to stay!

Really pleased that you enjoyed your stay, found everything to be of good quality and that the bathrooms sparkled! We are having some issues with the wifi recently and a technician is visiting tomorrow to fit some further equipment to the network which should provide stability. We look forward to welcoming you back.
