A Sicilian "Dammuso" nestled in the baroque of the Hyblean mountains.
The construction of the property dates back to the late Baroque period, the architectural characteristics suggest it between 1800 and 1850, and in any case before 1900. It is a typical Sicilian "dammuso", warm and welcoming in winter and cool and pleasant in summer. Although located in the center, the place is quiet and peaceful. The bathroom has a whirlpool tub, bath salts, courtesy kit and hairdryer, the small kitchen allows you to cook and heat dishes. After check-in you will find typical local biscuits at home, water and milk in the fridge, tea can be prepared with the practical kettle. The house has an exclusive courtyard with chairs and deck chairs. The property is located a few meters from the main places of artistic, historical and cultural interest. The precious archaeological museum is just 250 meters away, the Antonino Uccello house museum just 200 meters away, the travelers museum even closer. The beautiful baroque facade of the church of S. Sebastiano is just 50 meters away. The beautiful beach and the crystal clear sea of the Vendicari wildlife oasis is just 45 minutes away, birdwatching can be practiced here. Palazzolo joins the "Slow food" foundation. The many typical restaurants and trattorias (some real gastronomic excellences) are close and easy to reach on foot. Palazzolo is located in the center of the Baroque area of the Val di Noto, equidistant from the Baroque wonders of Syracuse and Ragusane, it represents an excellent "base camp" for those who want to live an intense cultural experience in south-east Sicily. Palazzolo Acreide is part of the list of UNESCO World Heritage Cities.
