Beautiful and private lake cottage newly renovated from top to bottom on Crooked Lake in Delton, MI. This four bedroom, two full bathroom house is a perfect two-family rental, set up for kids and families with a large yard, almost 80 feet of lakefront, and large patio and deck, and a huge fire pit for bonfires right next to the lake. House has a detached, screened in gazebo for enjoying the outdoors in the evening - without the mosquitos! Brand new dock and boat slip is in for the summer and public lake access is available, so bring your boat! Three one-person kayaks are also available for exploring the lake. When you tire of fishing, swimming, lying on the deck and reading, or playing in the yard with the kids, there is wifi, TV, and games and books for all ages (pack and play and beds with guardrails also available for the little ones). Groceries, liquor, and the fantastic Daily Grind coffeeshop are just a 10-15 minute walk away, and yet the cottage is well off the main road and quiet enough to hear just the crickets and frogs at night. Wake up to an amazing sunrise on a calm glass lake and have a glass of wine watching the deep red sunset from the gazebo at night. This property is a two story, but has one master bedroom and full bath on the first floor as well as a second master on the second floor, along with two other rooms perfect for kids. Come stay at our relaxing hideaway. You may never want to leave!

About the host
Hosted by Meredith Lynn Wilson
We are a vagabond family, wife born in Battle Creek, hubs in from New Zealand and kids from everywhere in between. We currently live in Texas and spend part of our summer here, working remotely, so our kids can enjoy Michigan summers and time with their grandparents and cousins.
Why they chose this property
We bought this little place as a refuge from the insanity of our busy lives and a place to have closer to family. We put a lot of love and heart into fixing it up this year and making it our own. We look forward to sharing it with you and your family, and only ask that you treat it with kindness and as you would one of your own properties.
