We really enjoyed our stay. We found the cabin well stocked with most needed supplies. Plenty of throw blankets throughout, at least 10 or more. The furnace kept the house plenty warm throughout our Christmas stay and we had the fireplace running almost 24/7. The main room is outstanding and truly a lodge-like environment. The cabin is less than 100 ft from a small but sometimes busy two-way highway, so nights can be a little loud sometimes if semis are doing night hauls. Overall the experience was a really pleasant getaway for our Christmas vacation!
Our stay was all we could have hoped for, easy check-in, beautiful setting, great space for 9 adults, comfortable accommodations, excellent kitchen and appliances, awesome hosts. Thank you Kirk!
Cabin was awesome, clean and in a great location. Kirk was amazing during the check-in process and even called out the plow to ensure we could get down the driveway after a big storm.

A great weekend.
We enjoyed ur stay very much. There should be some grab bars in the showers. After we had reserved the cabin, we kept receiving notices to finish our reservation, and this caused stress. Had to contact the owner and make sure we had a reservation.
This was such a nice cabin I will most likely want to rent it again, it has everything you need all you have to do is show up with food and clothes and your set! 10/10 would recommend!

Thanks for coming down and looking forward to having you back!
We got together as family to celebrate a couple June family holidays. So nice to have room for a group and ideal to be able to walk out the door and be on the water. The location was great in that respect and the lake and the options for recreation are excellent. The cabin is well equipped for a quality experience.
We had a great stay in a winter wonderland. Gorgeous view, perfect use of space and layout. The kids loved the loft, the adults loved the living area. Beds were comfortable and 4 bedrooms and 3 pull out sofas ensured everyone had a place to sleep (4 couples, 2 young single adults, and 4 kids). The cabin has eveything you need. We'd love to come back!
We absolutely loved our stay at this cabin. I took my children and grandkids. They fished, jumped off the dock into the water, kayaked, took a hike and enjoyed the grounds. The inside was perfect for our family of 14. The kitchen is very well stocked and there was plenty of bedding. The Washer and Dryer made it convenient.
This was a great home right on the Scofield Reservoir. We caught several trout right off the dock. This home has everything needed to be comfortable for our family of 6. The kitchen was well stocked and had all the extra spices needed.
If we were coming to the area again, we certainly would look up this spot.

Wonderful winter getaway!
We had such a great time! Kirk was a fantastic host, and the cabin was amazing. We had 10 people in our group, and were able to sleep everyone very comfortably. The kitchen was fully-stocked with equipment and we were able to easily cook meals for our entire group. The fireplace was great and really added to the cozy winter vibe. Kirk was extremely responsive, replying to any questions within minutes and made our stay a breeze. We're definitely going to come back for another stay!

This cabin was beautiful! Had all the amenities you could think of and more. My grandkids loved the area upstairs to play while the adults enjoyed football and cards downstairs. My husband caught a trout right from the dock. It snowed a day we were there as well which made the holiday more magical. Would love to visit again in the summer. Thank you for sharing your cabin and being prompt on our check in.
Beautiful cabin right on the lake, great for fishing & having a private dock for our boat was perfect. One negative is the close proximity to the loud highway next to the cabin with semi's driving frequently both day/night & the ice maker in the freezer was broken & that wasn't mentioned ahead of time. Otherwise we enjoyed our lakefront view.
We loved our stay here. Perfect for our family and had everything we needed. The porch and large windows in the kitchen gave us the best views for a spectacular thunder and lightning storm. The direct path to the lake made it easy for the kids to spend hours playing on the beach. We even caught a few crawfish from the dock. So fun! The location of the cabin makes you feel like you almost dont have neighbors. Not much cell service, but our family loved it. We hope to spend some time here again next year!
The cabin is awesome, the location is perfect and the views are amazing. This was our second visit to this cabin and it was better than we remembered. Water level is high on, as of 7/2/23.
The main road leading around the reservoir is pretty close, but it did not bother us at all. Being right on the water and the views trump it by far.
Communication was smooth and easy.
We will be back next summer for sure!

About the host

We have been going to and recreating at Scofield for well over a decade. We love the area and have enjoyed all of the memories that were created here. We live and work in Salt Lake and would love to help you create some of the lasting memories that we have down at Scofield.
Why they chose this property
The cabin is a rare find in Utah with direct access to Scofield Reservoir. We love the log cabin and views in the morning watching the sun rise onto the lake. Cell phones do not work directly at the property so if you are like me and have trouble disconnecting it is an added bonus. Although we do have wifi so if you really need to you can check on things.
What makes this property unique
You can put your boat in the water at the state park and dock it right in front of the cabin on the private dock. There is amazing fishing, hiking, boating, and Atv access in the summer. When the winter hits you can walk down for some ice fishing, sledding off the back porch, or snowmobiling on the Skyline Drive Complex.
