American Creek Campground in downtown Chamberlain SD has a fully furnished 2 Bedroom 1 1/2 Bath sleeps 6 vacation home that is 300 ft from the Missouri River. The main bedroom has a Queen size bed and a small bathroom. The 2nd Bedroom has 2 Full Size Beds. Includes 2 ROKU TVs, kitchen, microwave, coffee maker, toaster & washer & dryer. The back yard has a view of the river and has a large deck with patio furniture, gas grill and the back fence has a walk out gate that you can enjoy great fishing right out your back door. Close to shopping , restaurants, marina, & gas station. It is located downtown Chamberlain at the north end of main street and is on the north end of the American Creek Campground. Right behind the cabins of the American Creek campground you can enjoy all the amenities that the campground has to offer. Access to the boat ramp, fishing pier, park, swim beach & volleyball. We also rent campers, pontoon boats, kayaks, stand up paddleboards and bike rentals along with RV Sites, Tent Sites and 4 cabins.

What a wonderful multi generational trip. The pheasants were flying and the accommodations were wonderful. Our grandson appreciated watching “Monster Inc” over and over again but we didn’t care. Everything was nice and clean , thank you

A little R&R and Fishing

Great place and convenient to every thing in Chamberlain. When I had questions, Brenda was quick with a response. Ever thing we might have forgotten, she had at the house. Plenty of room and right next to the river. We will be back!

Winter Wknd in Chamberlain

Nice place for the 4 of us. Love the view of river. Would love see this place in the summer when we can enjoy the deck and view. Clean, comfortable and well stocked.

Fishing Trip

This was the perfect place for a father/sons fishing trip. It had been 17 years since we had all gotten to go together. Unfortunately, our trip was cut short due to a death in the family. Our host was extremely responsive and very understanding. We will definitely stay here again at a later date. We loved everything about our accommodations!!

Exceptional Experience.

Coming home is always great…. Having a great place to stay is another. Experience was beautiful. The Browns are exceptional. Thank you. Enjoyed the grill and fire pit. Easy access to the river by foot.

Clean

The place was very clean and a great location to the water. We walked down to the water and took our kayaks the short distance. We brought a wine opener and a "fry daddy" to cook our own fish. The only downside was the master bed had no support. We rolled to the center of the bed and had to move multiple times through out the night. It could use a really good mattress and box spring.

We (my husband and I) were traveling with our 13 yo son, 2 yo daughter, and grandma to see relatives scattered around the area. This was a PERFECT property for us! We were able to make this “home base.” Grandma had her own room, but was still right there. Our son fished a little in the river. Everyone came to us to visit and we had a potluck. There was plenty of room for aunts, uncles, and cousins. The kids ran and played hide & seek in the fenced backyard while the adults gathered and told stories of days gone by. When our toddler got tired or overwhelmed it was easy to whisk her away and snuggle in private for a while. The full kitchen was ideal. Brenda was wonderful. When we arrived, half the town was out of power. She met us there and had to show us around by flashlight! She left, then returned a few minutes later with candles for us! Very thoughtful and conscientious. This place has it all!

Our home away from home

We have stayed at this home for several years during pheasant hunting season and the home never disappoints. Brenda is always very helpful and responsive. We will continue to visit every year. Highly recommend this home.

Friends and fishing

This rental was clean and had everything we needed. It was very hot outside when we were there so in the afternoon we could not sit on the deck it was way too hot. The mornings were fine. They did have a grassy area with trees that we sat under.
