Where should I begin…overall the house was huge as advertised, but that’s it. For the price, we expected an “exceptional” property and were quite disappointed. When we provided Amy with a list of things in the house that were not working, she responded with, “my expectations were too high!” The furnishings are a mix of this and that with no extra niceties for atmosphere or warmth. The house needs a renovation as there isn’t a decent bathroom amongst them all. Showers are very small and old and filled with mildew. Vanities are outdated with leaking faucets. When we reported the problems with the toilets a “drunk” plumber showed up and reported he couldn’t fix anything...the house just needed renovating. The kitchen is old fashioned and needs updating. Ovens were filthy, as was the stove. Neither dishwasher worked and one of our guests had to take the drain apart and clean out 8” of packed food. Since the air was so dry, we all needed humidifiers but first we needed to wash the mold out or fix them. One shower had only warm water. Pipes were banging in the walls of one of the bedrooms. Toilets stopped up constantly. The hot tub was molded. Check-in instructions are non-existent as is anything indicating what is provided for guests. None of the fireplaces were working when we arrived, although cleaning crew was present until just before check-in and Amy assured us, she did a walk-thru before our check in. There was no sound on the living room TV, one not working at all and the one in the main bedroom is slightly larger than an iPad. It’s great that there is an elevator however it only services the first and second floor, what about the third floor? You also can’t call the elevator to your floor; you must walk up or down to get it-useless. I expected more for the price and ratings. I think the listing valuation of $12 Million is overstated and should be corrected.
