The Islander 604 Complimentary Beach (Seasonally) Heated Pool

This beachfront condo on the sixth floor has a front and center gorgeous view of the Gulf of Mexico. Unit 604 accommodates up to six people with a king bed in the master bedroom, two twin beds in the guest bedroom, and a queen size sleeper sofa in the living room. The sofa sleeper/loveseat is new in January 2023. There are three TV’s in the unit, one 55” smart Roku TV with a blue ray disc player and two 42” TV’s.

The condo is decorated in coastal style. It has tile throughout. The master bath has a walk-in shower with a double sink vanity and comfort toilet.

There is complimentary beach service which is an umbrella and two beach chairs. Included is a VIP card which gives you savings for golf, fishing, amusement parks, watercraft and sports rental, restaurants and more.

Wonderful stay

Wonderful location, activities each day for kids (but even my teens enjoyed it). Saw dolphins multiple days! Wonderful chair guy Alan made sure we were taken care of on the beach everyday.

A Great Place to Stay!

Minutes from Target, Big Kahunas, and plenty of restaurants. The only downside was not having a washer/dryer in the unit but there is a coin laundry on site if necessary. We will definitely book here again next time we’re visiting Destin!

The condo was so beautiful, has everything you may need to cook in kitchen, which honestly is a much better option than going to these over rated expensive restaraunts that have a 2-3 hr wait.But this resort and the beach are worth the trip. Very accomodating place. They have convenient shopping carts and luggage carts that make unloading easy. Theres an elevator in the lobby, 2 pools. Overall very happy with this experience. The price for the location and proximity to the beach to me seemed very reasonable and accesible.You also have included two seats on the beach with umbrella per room.Wifi included, TV's come with Roku and had access to netflix.There's other apps on Roku but we didn't try them since we out enjoying the beach and pool 😎.Overall nice experience !

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is the 5th year staying at The Islander and we will continue to return. We always enjoy our stay every year. They only issue we had this year was there was a lady at the desk who was not very friendly at check in. I tried to check in early, which in the past has never been an issue and she just kept telling me no even after I was told my room was ready. I told her I would be more than happy to pay extra to check in early(11:30am) and she told me no that they had a paper hanging in their office saying no one could check in before noon under any circumstances and just sounded very irritated. I told her that in my paperwork it said that early check in was available at a cost and she just continued to sound irritated and told me no. I asked her what the earliest check ins were allowed and she said 12 so we had to sit in the parking lot and wait 30 minutes to check in to our room. Everything else was great as usual!

Relaxing reset

It was a nice condo. It wasnt the one inreserved. The property management apparently switched us to another condo per the owners request. That was fine but no one bothered to communicate that with us until I boticed the condo number change and had to reach out to make sure everything was okay. Eventually the property management answered me and explained. I have uet to hear anything back from the owners. Then when we got there we discovered that the batteries in our door lock had died and we xouldnt lock our condo if we left. Luckily the front desk lady was helpful and she called maintenance and my handy husband was able to follow his directions over the phone to get it fixed. After that it was smooth sailing though. The condo was and clean and we had a nice relaxing vscation. We really enjoyed the 2 complimentary beach chairs and Allen the chair attendant was great. You should give him a raise! All in all we had a great time and would come back again. Thanks Islander!!

Lovely location

The pictures are accurate. You have a great view of the ocean and the walk to the beach takes mere minutes. The location is wonderful and the condo is fantastic. I recommend staying here!

604 wonderful, The Islander needs a new cleaning company!

We liked the tile floor because it was easy to sweep up sand.That said the cleaning company The Islanderuses was terrible The toilet was full of mold. If I was the owners ofUnit 604 I would be very upset as it is a reflection on them. The cleanliness was not their fault.
