Amazing Location!

Even though it was a short stay, we really enjoyed our time here. Lay out was perfect for a family and location is close to everything. Great quiet neighborhood for evening strolls with the kids.

Saint simmons island family vacation

Had an awesome vacation with the family. The house was very nice and clean and great location for beach resturants and stores to get any needs. We would deffinantly recommend this place to anyone

Perfect getaway

Property was perfect for the few days we spent on St. Simons Island. All of the food recommendations were fabulous. Sellers were easy to communicate with and allowed us to check in early. Would stay here again!

We had a wonderful stay at this property. It was a lovely home, well maintained, and was well stocked for our family with 2nd grade and kindergarten boys. The kids bedroom had so many books which were perfect for our nighttime reading sessions. There were also lots of great board games, puzzles and playing cards which kept us well entertained on rainy days. Nice beach chairs (with backpack straps and storage pockets) made for easy packing for the beach and boogie boards and sand toys were also a plus. The kitchen was well stocked with plenty of pots and pans, a kitchen aid mixer, and an electric tea kettle which was a nice surprise for this non-coffee drinker. :) There were also some basic spices like salt, pepper, garlic powder, etc. a small supply of sugar and flour and some non-stick spray which was nice to have in the pantry when you don’t want to stock a whole pantry to make it through a week. The beds and especially the pillows were super comfortable and the sectional couch was also comfortable. We had plenty of space in this home and really enjoyed our time on St. Simons. The owners were easy to work with and you could tell they put thought into making sure you have a wonderful stay. We’d book this house again if (hopefully when) we return to St. Simons.

Great Time

Property was very clean and came with everything we needed. Traveled with 9 people and there was plenty of space for everyone. Location was great. Was close to the beach and the village. Neighborhood was nice and quiet.

Our trip was great!!!

The property was clean and perfect for us. We had an elderly woman with us and the house was one level and zero steps so it was accessible to her. The airport did not bother us at all with noise. Great home to stay in!

This is a beautifully appointed one-story home. We felt they had everything we needed and enjoyed waking up there everyday. The living room area was very comfortable and we appreciated the convenience of getting to the beach or the pier fairly easily. There was some communication issues via the VRBO app prior to our stay, but other than that the hosts were very kind and responsive via text after we arrived. We definitely enjoyed our stay.

Wonderful. Relaxed. Location!

We stayed at Sandcastle for 3 weeks and wanted to stay longer. It’s close to everything. Just a golf cart, walk, or bike away. The house is clean, quiet and ready to go. The hosts are wonderful and responsive. The neighborhood is quiet quiet quiet.

BEST VACATION EVER!

We booked a week to spend time with our grandchildren, ages 10-14. The location is great. Nicely furnished, perfect layout with plenty of room to spread out. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. Big dining table for eating together. We felt at home here and would definitely book it again. Waldo was very responsive to our text.

Amazing home! We will be back soon!

This home was just perfect! In person the home is even more beautiful than in the photos. The home is very spacious, clean and comfortable. The bedding was nice to sleep on. The home exceeded our expectations. My parents went along and they don't do stairs well so it was easily for them to navigate.

We enjoyed our stay - Very nice house in a quiet neighborhood.

Everything from the time we arrived until the time we had to leave was super nice. We felt like we were right at home there. The rooms were plentiful and well furnished. We like the location of the house also - easy access to the bike path, the beaches, Jekyll Island, along with shopping and dining. BTW, we really enjoyed Southern Soul BBQ - we recommend a trip there also :-) This was our 2nd vacation to Saint Simon's Island and we would certainly try to arrange staying in this house again. This was our first time staying at this house, but won’t be out last!!! It was spacious, comfortable and had any and all supplies for a wonderful week! We even had enough space to pull our new golf cart in the garage each night to keep it dry and safe! The location is close to the beach, pier, restaurants and shops! Wonderful vacation spot!

This was our first time to SSI and we didn’t know what to expect. The island was SO beautiful and full of rich history. The home was perfect for our family! So many thoughtful details for a family stay. We stayed with our 7 young children and it was amazing. The kids LOVED all the books and board games. I really appreciated how well equipped the kitchen was. Lots of serving bowls, Tupperware, baking dishes, and even a high chair. It really felt like visiting a family home and not just a generic vacation rental. Access to the garage for loading and unloading was helpful. We were so grateful for the extra beach chairs, sand pails, etc. Our only critique was that the grill needed to be cleaned and was pretty rusted so we just didn’t use it. But, that was a very minor issue! Thanks for the amazing stay!!!

College move-in weekend

We had five adults staying at the Sandcastle house while we moved our youngest daughter into her college dorm. There was plenty of room for everyone and the location was very convenient to everything on the island. I would definitely stay at this house again if we return to St. Simons Island.

Perfect getaway

The house was in a great central location, very close to the beach, lighthouse, and downtown. House was perfect for our family especially the kids room. Lots of puzzles, books, board games, and movies, which was a lovely surprise. Very clean and comfortable. The BEST part of our stay was the property manager! They were super responsive to any questions we had. Also, my grandmother had accidentally left some sentimental jewelry behind and the property owner was beyond helpful in getting it back to her which meant so much!!!
