Lovely little cabin on the Nivernais canal!

We really enjoyed staying at this charming place in Chevroches. It's a short walk to the canal, a church with 9th century roots, and a historic quarry. A lovely place to stay in Nièvre!

A special place

The cottage is lovingly and simply furnished, we lacked nothing and the pool and the whole area were very tasteful and well maintained. We enjoyed it very much!

This is a stunning location. The gite we stayed in was very small but perfectly formed (as expected). We had full access to the pool area which was fantastic. The views were amazing and we were able to walk along the canal side to the local town. This unfortunately isn’t a 5 star review for a number of reasons - whilst communication was good prior to our arrival it was non-existent afterwards. We needed a replacement bulb for a light in the gite but despite emailing a request there was no response. We had initially asked for breakfast each day but changed our plans. I emailed our decision so as to ensure no inconvenience to our hosts but again there was no response. There appeared to be nobody at the property with whom we could communicate. We wanted to sort out the bins when we left but there was absolutely no information left to advise us what to do. It all felt a bit like we’d been left to it (which was fine) but without a point of contact (which wasn’t). The plates, cups, glasses in the gite were rather dirty and many were chipped. The cooker was very old and dirty and the hob-plate had seen better days! It was very sad that we didn’t get to experience the wonderful way in which the property is hosted by the owners according to the visitors book. Perhaps we will try again sometime.

Endroit merveilleux. Logement très bien équipé et décoré avec beaucoup de goût . Mais Nous avions d abord réservé l autre gîte au même endroit une adora le petite maison sa ns sa oir Uil fallait gréer à l échelle pour a céder à la mezzanine Donc Il faudrait exiger des propriétaires qu'ils précisent à quel type de personnes c'est destiné Celui la ne convient pas aux personnes agees

Un séjour très agréable dans la Maison des compagnons

Le domaine est vraiment charmant et parfaitement situé pour profiter de la Bourgogne. Mention spéciale pour le petit déj très complet et la possibilité de faire un feu de bois.

Exceptionnel

Le calme, la sérénité que l'on ressent dans ce lieu magique. Les propriétaires bienveillants. Une décoration faite avec goût et amour. Rien à dire... si venez découvrir ce bijou et prenez le petit déjeuner sur place.

Petite maison de carrier originale

Charmante maisonnette avec un cadre superbe. Calme, sur les hauteurs. Merci pour l'accueil sympathique du propriétaire. Chevroches est un joli village au bord du canal : halte nautique bien aménagée, éclairage de village orange chaleureux, nombreux panneaux explicatifs, des fleurs, des champs verts éclatants. C'est le village "carte postale" du Nivernais.
